It is the best interest of the project that godus makes as much money as possible so the development of godus can continue and it might turn into something useful. For that reason we must attempt to sucker in as many people as we can. I propose a "Buy Godus" campaign. Hiding subforums is half measures. Let's delete the whole steam forum and start fresh! [/sarcasm] You joke but this is a very real tension. If the money stops .....

Well so far the money just appears to be enabling them to be dicks to their community, maybe it would be for the best if it did start running out, as its not appearing to help at the moment, I'd also point out that its now an official rule of this forum that we don't likes dicks around here. *excluding gays or women, who might actually enjoy having a good dick or two around I guess

Lord Ba'al This is quite an important topic that we are discussing at the moment, would it be possible for you to move out most of this ongoing discussion into its own thread, otherwise this particular incident may get lost in time, and would be difficult for newcomers or researchers to find in the future, Gmr Leon has created the following thread Concerning recent Steam forum changes... I wonder if this would be a suitable place for the conversation to be moved over into? ( assuming there are no objections)

I don't like: Dimples in the bottom of scotch bottles; Facebook games masquerading as godgames.

From which post onwards would you suggest the thread should be moved?

I think take it from morsealworth's post, that seams to be the start of it. As we are moving stuff around, it might be worth skipping over the exchange between morsealworth and Qetesh, relating to the gaming posts which doesn't really have any bearing on the discussion. ( wow, am I actually suggesting censorship, I feel so dirty)

It has been done. Your wish was my command. Please note that the opening post of this thread is now HERE instead of at the beginning of this thread. But who cares, it's usually messy around here anyway and it still fits in the discussion.

simon22cans/ colin22cans: Would you care to provide your reasoning, at some length, regarding the hiding of certain subforums from non-owners? I think it may be useful to have this in its own separate thread, and in response to a more concise post than my other one. I definitely don't want to be shoving words/intentions down your throat, but an explanation as was had for limiting non-owner posting privileges, I think, would be appreciated. Thanks if/when you get around to responding. In the meantime, have a good weekend guys! So...No comment?

Apparently not. Tho, I think colin22cans has been ill... but still. I realize it's probably a moot point, but have you posted it on the steam forum?

It looks like some of the threads or posts that got shuffled off into off-topic were silently shuffled back onto the main page over there, with nary a peep about (either) move.

I've noticed there are some matters that 22Cans point-blank refuse to comment on. One was the mass of Steam bannings that took place a few months ago, which got a handful of people extremely wound up and was eventually reversed when Collin took the reins. Another is the contradiction from PM and Simon regarding the God of Gods accrual. And this change on the Steam boards, perhaps, is another.

Oh hey, it looks like they at least fixed the hidden forum part of things (dunno if posting's still limited to owners only, anyone know?)...And chose not to give us an opportunity to hear what happened there and maybe give them some rare kudos.
...22cans staff, are you secretly masochistic? Is there a bizarre culture at the office that basks in not hearing praise...? Guys, I know it can be dreary in the UK at times, but clear skies aren't the worst thing you could get over your office. =O
P.S. Um, thanks for getting this back to how it was, mostly.

It's weird that the 22cans & Kickstarter forum would be limited to Steam owners of the game, given that AFAIK some people backed for mobile. Unless they all got Steam keys, whether they wanted them or not.
