I think I should probably remove him from the 22cans group.

So I tweeted at them this morning: "@22cans what happened to the Godus Documentary that was ‘just about ready’ 6 months ago?" Got a reply just before: "@bed42 Hey Andrew! Keep an eye out for news on Twitter and Facebook regarding the Art book, documentary and more in the coming weeks " isn't that what they said when Jack handed it over them? *rolls eyes*

This needs adding to HOW NOT TO PR discussion. Not a single recent tweet about Godus from any one of them. Even the @22cans Twitter account didn't post the last progress update. Seems like they're just giving up on Godus.

Molyneux Factual History - quite interesting.

I've just had a look through the staff on the 22Cans About Us page to look for any changes. This does not appear to have been updated in over 3 months, but from LinkedIn it looks like everyone listed is still currently working at 22Cans (no idea what Dave's 'community managing' entails at this point). There are also a few extra staff on LinkedIn not listed on the page - Kevin Flynn as an animator and James Turner in production are two I noticed. Also, I think I missed Conor leaving. He apparently moved on in June.
So, 22Cans are still looking fully staffed. Just have fallen back into another period of silence.

Molyneux Factual History - quite interesting. Nice little summary. I found the commentary agonising to listen to, though. I have never heard 'Molyneux', 'Entrepreneur' or 'Syndicate' pronounced like that.

Maybe his community management is him running around the office making sure no one there is talking to us or reading what we are saying to keep morale up? Maybe he is "community creation" to give them something good to read?

They don't appear to be communicating at all, anywhere.

They don't appear to be communicating at all, anywhere. That's one way to manage a community

So where is the documentary? It must have been heavily censored if you are taking this long with it. Or maybe you decided to wait till the game is finished before releasing it?

"If you tell the truth you don't have to remember anything." - Samuel L Clemens My guess is they are spending the majority of their time "remembering" things for their documentary, which, will probably be less fact and more opinion considering the narrative that's on the line.

Colin's statement about the documentary from June: He mentions how the documentary is likely to be out in the next "2 or 3 weeks".We don't have a release date for it yet. Jack was in charge before he left 22cans a couple of months ago and now we're waiting for him to finish off the content. Spoiler alert - I don't think it's going to be 2 or 3 weeks away. There's still some important details we're needing to iron out that will take some time. That being said, it is in the final stages of being wrapped up and I managed to show the rest of the team on Friday. I've been personally gathering all the feedback I can get and editing accordingly. We're getting music sorted and from now on I'll be heading up the project. (this is from the Tweets thread). So, while there's no clarification on what the "important details needing to be ironed out" are, he did say it wouldn't be within the timeframe Jack suggested. Which is interesting. Jack obviously considered the documentary to be near enough complete when he delivered it to 22Cans. Colin has spent time editing it (or he did back in June, anyway), and a rough version has been viewed by both the 22Cans team and, allegedly, Bryan. Now here we are, six months later, and it has apparently either been parked or scrapped entirely. I'm not terribly surprised about this. Firstly because the documentary is a deliverable, and 22Cans fails 99% of the time to deliver anything from game updates to forum posts. Secondly, the clips that were revealed by Jack and the way he has described it to the media suggest that it didn't show 22Cans in the best light. He described it as "close to the bone". 22Cans has no incentive to release anything of that nature. If we ever do see it, I would be extremely interested to hear Jack's thoughts on how the released version compares to the original. I imagine it will be considerably shorter.
