Hey everyone! Hopefully, you’re having as good a week as we are, some very exciting things happening here at Opaque. We are full steam ahead with Genesis, as today we have finally decided that moving forward the villagers in Genesis are affectionately referred to as “Nubs”. Our artists have created such adorable designs for the villagers that they needed an equally adorable name. The Nubs are also showing signs of emotion thanks to one of the 3D modellers efforts in rigging their faces. The two other artists have been working engineering the world in which the Nubs will live. As the world is being shaped, the water miracles are starting to shape up nicely as is all the water surrounding the world in Genesis. The engineers have been hard at work on the AI processes, getting the Nubs to behave like real villagers. Setting up our local repository to help with faster integration between the various disciplines. Design have been finalising the documentation to prepare for the Trello board going public, which as of today is now live. The Trello board can be found at this destination. (https://trello.com/b/iKQtdcJO) We are quite excited with the designs for the player’s interactions with the world as they are on their way to being finalised. I am super happy to announce that Cernji (TerraCo) who is one of totally rad two engineers, Mitch (Sporkedmango) one of our fantastic designers and Steph (Griffork) the amazing technical artist have joined us here on the forums. Thanks for continuing to keep us up to date, much appreciated! Something tells me Echo wasn't entirely happy with officially calling them Nubs  The Trello looks great! Question: Can we see any villager designs that didn't make it because the Nubs killed them all?  |

What's this I hear about water? I love water! Can we see some water please? So Nubs it is then. I guess they will prefer to live in solitude at the very tops of hills. I wouldn't mind seeing a bit more in general of the world that you guys are creating. Any pics and/or videos you might be able to share? |

Awesome questions! I will chase up the art team for the designs that didn't make it next Friday, I will also post more of the water and fire when it is completed! Nubs just kinda stuck so it can't be helped. Echo will just have to be okay with it heheh More content will come stay tuned! ^_^

As an American for me, Nubs sounds pretty much just as bad as Nobs. We used it as an insult from time to time. I can't say on here exactly what it referred to but I allocate a Nub to something grown from the nether reigions and I don't mean Holland. However, "cheese" does come mind when I hear it.  |

For some reason, the word is associated in my mind with a stump of an amputated limb and that's disturbing as hell. |

That water is nothing to be ashamed of. Looking awesome to me. Regarding the Twitter, is there a dedicated Twitter feed yet for the game? I presume there isn't because there is no official name for the game yet. In that regard, how are we standing on the name? I asked a while back if you wanted a poll posted but never saw a response. Are we just going with Genesis? |

So far we've had no consensus, on any level. Turns out picking a name is pretty hard. I've told everyone if we can't pick a name we'll just run with Genesis, because everyone here (forums) and there (the office) identify it. Everyone baseline likes/hates it.
We are not going with motherfu**** LokiPoki, ever, terraco so you can just drop that now.
