Power-up your Dreamnail! Hollow Knight’s first free content pack ‘Hidden Dreams’ is dropping this July for all players. Still playing this regularly, mostly with my son. He loves it as much as do I. Still not too far in (as had limited play time) but just found a place called deepnest. Love the characters and sense of fun and challenging game play at times, now this is the sort of kickstarter that make it worth backing. Which makes me wonder, how good was Team Cherry's campaign? I never heard of this game before Deth 's very generous donation of keys.

I just made it up to Hornet and she is being a pain in my ass.
I feel the campaign was not to bad. Did not get all our stretch goals but got some. I have not made it yet to any of the ghost areas that backers got to have a ghost created for them or the arena where I think you get to face off again backer created enemies. Not sure if this update coming soon is the backer bosses or one of the stretch goals adding new bosses and quest.

I love the way the character is slowly evolved and earns more and more moves. I only chose to fight 2 ghost so far as they are pretty tough. I also see it is porting to the switch (not that I have one) but I think if Team cherry produces more quality like this they have a bright future.

This is the first time for me. I bounce in an out of games. I have a similar game Dead Cells I have been playing. It is rouge lite metrovainia like this but with a lot more collector style play. As you run maps you get cells to upgrade item drops and can find blue prints to unlock new items.

If it goes on discount during Summer Sale, maybe I'll give it a try.

I mean I wouldn't call Hollow Knight violent as squishing bugs and no blood seems ok in my book and I'm looking for more of the same if I ever complete HK. EDIT *I plan to play along with my 5 year old son, watching participating.

If it goes on discount during Summer Sale, maybe I'll give it a try. If you like stylish platformers with good progression challenges I would wholly recommend! Only annoying things are how often you'll lose a lot of the in game currency due to static save points (you do have the opportunity to find your ghost and claim it back but that too can be challenging in itself) and the fact you have to retrace to bosses can take a lot of time, but if its too hard I recommend exploring else where to find power up first. Also watching youtube clips to figure out bosses attack sets will speed things up and remembering where rooms that seem impossible are, so you can visit them when you've acquired the right special moves to get to the goal. They also recommend a controller, I see the benefits of that but I have only played with keyboard so far.

Dead Cells is more of a 8-bit style graphics. There is 8-bit gore as you can see on the linked page. It is not like it had body parts flying around but there is a splash of blood and nondescript bits will land.

I enjoy it. I can clear the first 2 or 3 maps so far and have leveled up a couple weapons and unlocked a lot. They just did an elemental patch so now you can coat some one in oil with a oil weapon then set them on fire with a flaming weapon. Or electrocute people in water with an electric weapon. Have not had a chance to try either of those yet. Been trying to finish my Diablo 3 season so have not played it a lot lately. That and Hollow Knight has been my thing lately.

I loved hollow knight, and love the fact it gets free dlc (assuming this update is) but when I think of going back to it after a long break I’m worried how easily I’d get back into it. I will have to find a little time to check it out. Cheers Deth

So, Hollow Knight. Last year, I played this on PlayStation. I was hooked on it for weeks! Just had to finish it. I'm looking forward to the release of the sequel, which hopefully will be just around the corner now, although apparently people have been waiting for it for years. Are you still in this Deth?
