Their descriptions, when compared to the existing reality, is extremely misleading, disproportionate, and highly disappointing (and painful to read). The game they created is a mere shadow of the one they describe. It's a mockery. A shill, a sham. It's a god-damn shame.
About migrating to the new forum; I really couldn't care less. It wasn't even on my "Want" list of things for them to focus on. It's fine and all, spiffing up the 22Cans forums, but it's a non-event as far as I'm concerned.
Dear 22Cans; How about you stop trying to misdirect our attentions - with colorfully bitter low-hanging fruit - away from your inability to provide any real gainful progress on that game you are supposed to be making?

I'm quite astonished what 22cans is expecting from that "new" Forum, what the old ones aren't able to achieve.
Is it the connection of a F.A.Q-esque area with the Support and Feedback area?

Steam forums are bad (and also only for the steam users). The backers forum is backers only, leaving no other official forum. If they make a forum on their own website, that allows anyone to post (mobile & steam), and also for them to sort out the forums in any way they like with sub-divisions as they want etc. It's really something they should have had as soon as they released the game to any non-backers.

Oh, I agree. It's something that should have been available from the first open beta and early access. It should have been on their roadmap/plans a long time ago. Instead, here we are 8 months later (after Steam Early Access launched Sept 2013), and they're acting as though they were caught off guard, or just thought of it; it's astonishing. This is yet something else that adds to the mounting evidence of disparity in their 'business model', and just makes it seem like there is a general disorganized lack of direction and planning at 22Cans. I can't, for even a minute, believe they were not thinking they'd need an open-public dedicated game forum for their only game from day one. I understand why they are doing it - because they should have an official public forum - I'm just not too concerned with it; a bit too late and short on effort in my opinion, to be applauded. In other words, I'm glad they're (finally) doing it, but I am not going to pat them on the back for it.

The new official forum is currently targeted at a w/ July 7th release date. If they don't still have a backers only forum, it will be another violation of our reward promises. We will still have a backers only forum, however we will also have boards open to the public. I wonder if they are planning on using the same Mod and/or rules as Steam. That is just one more place for more company line towing. We will have rules on our own forum, similar to the Steam forum rules. We'd be crazy not to. We'll still have a presence here as well, though. Steam forums are bad (and also only for the steam users). The backers forum is backers only, leaving no other official forum.
