Here's a funny little conversation I just saw on the steam forum. This Game Is Amazing! Thats Just My Opinion! What's your favorite part of it, Douglas? There are many parts I like! Like The concept of the Whole god game, the game mechanics, The concept of progression. I'm not saying everything is great. they obviously still have to work on making parts of it better. but I'm certain they will eventually deliver a game that everyone will like. What do you like to do in the game, Douglas? (Its Dolmo!) And I like sculpting (I'm Not Weird) I like expanding my population. there is tonnes of stuff i like to do! Dolmo, wouldn't you like it if they removed the restriction on how far you can sculpt in a single swipe? I sure would. Imagine being able to cut a bit swathe through the map with a single swipe, given enough belief, of course. It'd be like painting. You Have raised a valid point. It would very much be like painting. I'd probably have to test it to see if I liked it. But I think that's a good suggestion! Me too, I'm glad we could have this conversation Dolmo. I hope they read it!

I saw that too. My bet is on Dolmo being Peters kid.

Godus obviously has its fans who enjoy the current state of the game and like the current progression plan. I would be interested to know what age group these players fall into - to me, Godus appears to be designed for ages 8 - 14.

I don't like: Ignoring a unpleasant question or answering with something that is only loosely related or way to vague to actually answer something. Mods that Cherry-pick in discussions. Banning people for minor offenses.

Is this an AI engine having a conversation with itself? Cleverbot? Is that you? Is Ben still dead?

I can't steal all the lyrics (already taken 4 lines) but the last verse can be almost unchanged:
I had a dream that GODUS would be So different from this hell I'm playing So different now from what it seemed Now 22Cans has killed the dream I dreamed.

"Pay up" (performed by KS backer, Muir and EA buyers)
Pay up, pay up Don't look in your wallet Look down, look down, There's timers 'til you buy
Now bring me backer 24601 Your belief is up And your clicking's begun You know what that means.
Yes, it means I'm free.
No! Follow to the letter the steam rules This ban of shame you'll show until you die It warns you're a negative man
I voiced a valid point. My abode's timer was a day long And I was so bored.
You'll be bored again Unless you learn the meaning of the law.
I know the meaning of those hours lost A slave of timers
Five hours for wheat to grow The rest because you're out of gems Yes, 24601.
My name is P.C. Gamer
And I am Muir! Do not forget my name! Do not forget me, 24601.
pay up, pay up buy sticker packs and save pay up, pay up this game is in its grave.

Muir needs to develop a sense of humour, lighten up and take off those rose coloured glasses stapled to their face... Maybe, just maybe, then we'll start to have a smidgen of respect for what they say

<and, cue Muir telling us to stay on topic> Seriously?!?!? He did that? Those posts only serve to lighten the mood in an otherwise rather violent forum and then he has to ruin the fun. I just don't understand.

I just don't understand. People with God complexes should not be Mods. I say this because any self respecting Stargate fan knows that Gou'ald are not Gods, they are just wormy nasty aliens that use other bodies and have some wicked powers to trick people into thinking they are Gods, which now that I think of it, could be what certain bad mods might have a bit in common with.

I thought the general was joking but sure enough I go over there and Muir had indeed intervened. At some point g and m will realise their workload would be lighter without Muir trolling the threads. At the point there is going to have to be a really awkward conversation about how you fire a volunteer. The sad thing is that Muir is obviously just a bit green and needs some mentoring. Maybe Ba'al you could Mentor him as an experienced moderator and system lord?
