I am okay with plain chocolate just being in fridge, but I love my snickers frozen. There's not a huge selection of candy in the local market here in Croatia, but they do have snickers, if I had extra cash I would definitely think about investing in that company with that knowledge alone. Snickers and Coca-Cola you get away from them anywhere. LOL. There is btw, no sign of Pepsi as far as I've seen here, I guess we know who is really winning the soda war.

And as I read this now, I am pretty sure there are again no snickers in the house. I love them too, but I prefer mine frozen. I know, call me sick. LOL. Yeah, I may have to go get a snickers from the employee shop at work tomorrow. I have some Yorks in the freezer tho; something about chilling candybars just makes them taste better IMO. Did you mean Yorkies? Or is Yorks a sweet I've not heard of before?

If it wasn't for the poll at the top this would be in the "Whatever" off-topic section... but I'm glad it's not, because I almost never go there and wouldn't have seen it otherwise.

Ah, bit like an after eight or a peppermint cream, rather than a Yorkie bar

Snickers are of the beats. Is that Australian talk or just an expression young people use these days? (or is it an expression old people use? ) Ya know, I'm actually not sure ..

Well you should coz I just posted something funny in the funny thread. Also I started a topic about how people came to the handle they use online.

By the way I encourage everyone to start discussions in the Whatever section. It can really be about anything. It doesn't have to have anything to do with games. Perhaps a hobby you are very fond of or a newsworthy item you would like to share.
Also, does anybody speak Chinese?

I wish more people would, it is cool to find out other's interests outside of Godus discussions as well.

And I would think twice invest into a company that simply sells imports from a transnational corporation with HQ on the other side of the planet. Just in case.

I live in Delaware when in USA and I don't know if they still are, but Coca-cola along with Playboy and Disney were all incorporated there due to low tax rate and lenient tax laws there. I don't really have an issue with any company incorporating in the most financially feasible place so as not to give up millions of extra dollars to some taxing authority because they incorporated elsewhere. I might be bias, as a company owner, but that is just my way of looking at it. It's all just part of the game.

I'm talking about the costs to the consumer and economical safety of the country.

I believe in free enterprise. If the consumer does not wish to buy at the price it is sold for, then they don't have to be it. Coca-cola is sold side by side with the national ones here and so there is no extra "cost" or risk of economic safety to Croatia, and if the Croatians don't wish to buy the Coca-cola they have plenty of other options, on top of this Croatia is not some third world country without it's own regulations for any national or international company so all products sold on the shelves in their grocery stores here are ten times safer than those sold out on the highways such as the unregulated fruits, olive oils and Grappa sold that provide no income back to society as the regulated ones do. On top of all that huge companies like Coca-cola do not place their products in areas that would cause injury to any consumers or countries, that is dangerous and beyond bad business sense and they have neither, just ask Kathy Ireland and Kathy Lee Gifford, that stuff does not fly, if you make crap products or rape some other society's work force on the other side of the globe and it gets back to USA, your product is pretty much fucked.
On this same note, I don't have a problem buying stuff from any company from other countries. If I want a Sony, Toshiba or General Electric TV, I will choose it from which one I like best, best price and best reviews. If I want a Fiat, Mercedes or a Ford, I will do the same and I am certainly glad to be able to get a Snickers while in Croatia but have also had the local chocolate while here in Croatia. USA economy is in the shit chute, should we ban all other countries products to be sold there? They have McDonald's and KFC in Netherlands, but trust me they are not endangering the Falafel and Shoarma places in the slightest, all they do is give the consumer more options or would you take issue with those because I guess not truly "Dutch" enough? Well, the fried potato stands (Sooooooooooooooo Duch) are packed daily, so fear not. I don't want to live in world where the government deems outside international businesses as unsafe to local economy, so that you will never have an option for cultures to merge and expand.
Life is not all full of conspiracy theories. This is 2014, I can buy anything from almost anywhere and have it shipped to most places these days, if you make a product you are no longer just competing with your country or surrounding ones, you are competing with the globe. I for one, don't take issue with that.
The bottom line is this, if you have a good enough product, you should be able to compete from anyone anywhere in the globe. If you don't, some other competitor from within your own country will come along and take you out eventually anyone.

I'm snickering from Quetesh's naive post, though? NB: I also believe in free enterprise. But I also understand how the market works.
