heh. Thanks. The levity helps me deal with my feels towards Godus.
So far 99% of what they're doing is pretty generic stuff, attempting to adhere to all general (casual) interests without refining any one area of specificity; nothing groundbreaking and certainly not pushing the edge of what a true "God Game" really could/should be. Although they did something really interesting and unique with the land sculpting, that's about it. I was/am really hoping for something more, exciting, from them.
My graphics may mock them, but also maybe I'm hoping to spur some real creativity in their design - to push them to think wildly, and dive deep to explore unusual, refreshing ideas.

George and Matthew, do you guys think this is okay? Do you see how this is offensive to women? Yes, I can see how this would be offensive. It is, however, only placeholder text and images and the mechanic wouldn't appear in the final game like that. We merely wanted to provide an example of the kind of trade-offs you'd have to make as part of Commandments as a morality system. Our senior producer, Jemma, would ensure any such offending material were revised and re-worked prior to public consumption. As it is, the slides are from a work-in-progress Powerpoint deck and don't reflect in-game features and functions. In fact, Jack literally just stuck his head round to say that this has all been re-worked anyway now. Once the Settlements update is out the way, I'll go grab him for more details.

We've fixed that as part of the Settlements revamp update Hooray! So it wasn't a middleware issue after all? It was a middleware issue for which we've developed a workaround. Lets hope this bug doesn't crop back up in future builds.

Nowhere in the Kickstarter was it stated that 22cans would be developing fixes for middle-ware issues. I demand a refund!!! </sarcasm>

Actually, you CAN name settlements and followers... yeah sure that we the pc Players can but IOS Players now too but that Feature is pc exclusiv Well, unfortunately I think this isn't quite so much a fallacy than just a misspoken use of the term, since the term is somewhat often used loosely [in product distribution] to simply mean " first" - despite what the dictionary says - that's probably just what they'll claim they meant. It's yet another vague term open to interpretation, and to assume it means it would never come to other platforms (which would be kind of silly, really) is just a misunderstanding. Kind of like how they use " Soon" and Beta". Had they said it was coming to the PC exclusively only ever, that would be a different story. Nitpick all you want, it just won't hold up as a valid argument against anything. That's just the hard reality of it. Be glad they didn't mean " exclusive" as in " a limited time", which is another way I see it used often when referring to a product distribution campaign. Trying to pick apart everything they say and hold it against them, no matter how vague, and looking for lies and conspiracies is only going to result in driving yourselves nuts. It's not worth it.

It's not worth it. since my english is bad i Quote a post from Tikigod cause i have the same opinion : It's about 22Cans conduct. If they say something is exclusive, or something is happening or not happening and then the complete opposite turns out to be true, with no prior notification... just quietly going against what they've said and acting like they hope people won't notice. Then they need to be held accountable to that.

Yeah, they said a lot of things that just aren't true, especially in regards to what the mobile version would and would not be. That's why there's so much backlash. That's why so many of their kickstarter backers feel coerced and deceived. Seriously, the gap between the game features they're describing in that video and the game features we have today is immense. Edit - also, in hindsight, watching that video now, pretty clear it's really more of a sales pitch than anything else. They mention various features and then are sure to stress that they gotta hit those 'stretch goals'.

So does anyone think it's appropriate to add something about the revision numbering confusions? How even the opt-in doesn't seem to follow very standard methods? Also, can someone check and verify the actual in-game version numbers - for both public release and opt-in?

Yeah that became bullshit when they started a multi month mobile sprint and ported the content to PC.
