As one commenter said in the toucharcade article, " As is the curse of all F2Ps, the farther you progress, the less you are able to do with your energy in comparison to your current goal.". And this person proclaims to be one of the people that says "it's a fun game.", despite all the problems. I would say it's almost a fun game, as it has it's positives, but all that is dashed to bits by the BS restrictions on progress. I think, come Monday, they're going to be in for a long, tough road; that is, unless they simply ignore all the negative criticism and focus on the positives - much like they seem to do with real-time feedback vs analytics. I just don't know how they continue to dig themselves further into a hole, despite more than a year worth of pleas from the PC community.

The Wired article with the PM interview is interesting. Here, PM says Hubworld is going to be switched on in a "few weeks" and with this the god-of-gods and morality malarkey comes into play.

Remember GDC last year? Peter said that Hubworlds would be implemented 3~4 weeks from that aswell... As for God-of-gods, I imagine that Hubworlds will be some sort of ranking ladder - battle-of-the-minigames - and whoever remains standing on top at the end of it becomes the next god-of-gods. I wonder whether they'll decide to go for a knock-out style system or for epeen point hoarding. Also something interesting to see is what exactly the god-of-gods will be able to do at all... Since I'm fairly certain that any game-changing effect will not be received well by the players, especially if it is detrimental to their gameplay. XD

Maybe they're waiting for Bryan to die of old age before implementing hub worlds.

So far I'm not seeing any more articles this weekend - looks like we'll have to wait to see if anyone else picks it up. Of course, if you dig into some gaming website forums, there are discussions about it - but I think posting those would be too much effort and just clutter things up.

I've never been one to look up and dig for information. I'm just too darn lazy.

While it's not entirely negative, this Gamezebo article does agreat job of outlining the issues, and comparing the differences between the iOS and the PC. Godus Review: Stickers and Stones

Give it another month. We're almost to the 1 year Early Access anniversary. That's when I predict media to start picking up on the state of affairs.

Oh, I don't think 22Cans need concern themself with this! The reviewer was obviously "playing it wrong". Did you watch any of Matthew's realtime playthrough yesterday? He clearly demonstrates that as long as you play Godus in an incredibly specific way you can largely avoid any excessive waits and get a good 4 hours of solid-ish play time.

He clearly demonstrates that as long as you play Godus in an incredibly specific way you can largely avoid any excessive waits and get a good 4 hours of solid-ish play time. I had not seen any of his playthrough, as I was working while he was livestreaming. I was a bit burned out on Godus yesterday, so I didn't bother looking up a replay. Matt has been quiet here lately (I assume he's rather busy), so I haven't heard his view/opinion aftr that playthrough, either. But it is no surprise to me that the game is biased towards a specific playstyle; namely Peter's idealistic perfect zen-deliscious world. I had noticed the same thing in my own game; if I deviated from what it seemed they want me to do (via the dev commentary) then I started struggling. It's a mess of a game. Staying vigilant for more reviews to post; I have an Godus RSS on Feedly.

Notice how the giant head reference is from a very old version and how the article reads that multiplayer is apparently 'working' on PC. It sounds like this person has been playing the older versions aswell as the most recent version interchangeably.

I just took a moment to prowl around the comments of some of these reviews. It would appear that there are a LOT of people that aren't exactly 'happy' or 'satisfied' with the game and many delete it within the first day.
I've also seen numerous remarks on the whole funding through kickstarter -> release on iOS aspect, calling our favorite cans con-artists and frauds deserving a generous helping of american justice (lawsuit culture ftw?). Ofcourse we already know the denial coming from the cans, obviously these people are mistaken and only represent a minority of the playerbase. Everyone else loves it.
When will the mobile players realize that they effectively have 'half' a game?

Well technically they have more than half. 50.5% FTW!
