I have a suggestion to avoid a video: why doesnt someoen buy peter a small voice recorder, thenwe can email a question every two/three days and he can answer then while sitting at home drinking tea a this own pace amd record it. He can then give the recording to george or matthew (or even one of us) to transcribe and post. Time saving for peter, amd we get a question or two answered a week with no time constraints and a *hopefully* definite answer
*dedit: the keyboard on this tablet sucks. Sorry for the miriad of typos. Id also like to point out that I know this is a longshot, but you never know if a crazy, out there idea will seem like gold to someome, even though everyone else disagrees *cough*stickers*cough*

There's only two instances I know of where stickers equate to gold.
The first instance is when you're dealing with your 5-year-old niece/nephew. The second instance is when you're participating in your local store/supermarket/mall's "free-can-of-beans" (or equivalent) event where with each $€10 of purchases you get a sticker and once your card is filled you get your prize.

And in both cases the seller is the one who profits a lot.

I think there's something similar to the second instance in Ni No Kuni, but it's fine because you have everything else to enjoy in the game.

There is no doubt in my mind GODUS has hurt steam and early access. It goes without saying it has put 22cabs in the ground as well.

I went ahead and sent them, since it doesn't look like there's much more to really add until we see where on Earth this ends up. I hope that's okay with everyone. I considered waiting till like the last half hour or so, but timezones constantly trip me up and I think I'd forget about it until I was midway through eating or something and then scramble to send it out.

I think we'll be good.
Depending on the format of the answers we might even be able to process it in such a way that it'll be clear which questions are answered and which aren't.

If history repeats itself, we'll have more questions once they respond anyway. This can't be a one-time event if it's going to make a difference in this project. It's frustrating that this process is taking so long, but I understand the sheer volume of unanswered questions that have cropped up.

I wonder if we'll be hearing anything regarding godpowers making their re-entry. Particularly Dig is a tool that I'm missing. There's one thing that is quite interesting.
Even though Peter has been quite adamant early on that he feels a "raise land" power to be a bad thing, we've been able to raise land pretty much ever since we got access to the Finger of God. Since if you FoG a building you get rubble, and if you FoG stones/rubble you get a tiny bit of land. Sculpt that outwards till you can make a new plot, make a size one building and repeat the process.
You'd imagine that if Peter is really that opposed to a raise land power he would've had that particular mechanic fixed long ago? Or do you think that I just pointed out something they've overlooked all this time? (Thereby inevitably causing its demise...)

I really want the dig and raise powers back. I want sculpting tools like Simcity4 map editor styles. I bet this won't happen because digging and raising land isn't compatible with mobile touch design.

Just to add to my above post, more powerful sculpting = more creativity which is needed to make GODUS a game people actually want to play.

I bet this won't happen because digging and raising land isn't compatible with mobile touch design. Pssh, it's totally compatible if you're willing to be creative. If instead of dragging the land about like a caveman dragging rocks you could "breathe life into the land" by highlighting over parts of the layer you want to pull in a certain direction then tap it over there, and then build off this. If you're gonna breathe into it, let's make it ice cream and lap it up and away too, by highlighting the inner regions of the land, you set the power to dig or fill/pour and in doing this, you can pinch to drill (lock camera during this process) by bringing your index finger and thumb together and holding them in place until you've dug as deep as you want, and then if you want to fill it back in, highlight the area again and hold your index finger and thumb apart over the area to build it back up. There ya go. How hard was that? You don't even have to change the existing sculpting if you don't want to, you can just add some more flexibility to the tool for those who feel it's too slow or imprecise in its existing state. They've even got the basic tool in place to handle this already in the form of Beautify. Change the effect a little and code in what I describe and I think you could implement this relatively easily.

Oh god, I'm having this image of people playing Mario Party or Nintendogs etc, blowing into their devices and shaking them about for all kinds of minigames. Only doing so with their mobile device for Godus.
Want to use the earthquake power? Shake your device violently! Want to use the tornado power? Blow into the mic of your device! Want to cause a tsunami? Drop your device into water! Want to cause a forest fire? Set your device ablaze!

It occurs to me I didn't keep this thread as up to date as the Steam one...
Here's the rundown of events since sending them off: 22/9/14. The CM team have received the questions. They should be relaying them to Peter (and Jack) promptly, and aim to get the video response ASAP. 24/9/14. Peter Molyneux directly addressed the questions/request for communication in an email recognizing it as the impetus needed to answer our questions.

Sure, I think. It was pretty to the point, approximately as I said, reemphasizing their intent to address the questions we've gathered/desire for comms via video as Jack mentioned in the last response I received. I've sent an email back asking if it would be alright to share a screenshot of the email with you all.

Thanks for sharing.
So he's saying maybe tomorrow? Can someone from 22Cans track the progress of this? I REALLY don't want this to join the ranks of the millions of things 22Cans says they're planning on doing, then it gets pushed back 5 or 6 times, then everyone forgets about it amongst the other things 22Cans said they'd do.

No problem! I don't know that I mentioned it here, but honestly, it's Peter...We should definitely take that lightly. If anything, we should take it as a cool sign that he's eager to do it (maybe), but being realistic...It seems unlikely.
