I've been rebuilding my world after almost all of my followers disappeared, and it's given me a different way to play. During this playtime, I've found things I really like about the game. PLEASE don't change the following things:
The followers voices - The 'buildem' desrtoyem' and 'completum' are hilarious
The Astari - They need some tweaking, but they are also hilarious and their song makes me laugh
The Ore collection sound - This sound is like gold to my ears. It's damn near the perfect sound.
The landscape - Looks great. It would look nicer if the "seams" disappeared on flat walls of leyered levels. You could have them show up (for easy sculpting) under an area of effect under the mouse pointer
Followers Whistling - it's great!
Meteor - works as advertised. Handy for sculpting, causes right amount of destruction.
Sacrificing Followers - I really like sacrificing followers that don't do what I've told them to do, so this is a great way to get rid of them.
Building Things - More control over what is built, and where it's built would be a nice addition, though I enjoy sculpting out weird plots to see what I can do with settlements.
There are other things I like, certainly but these are the ones I specifically enjoy. Other aspects, like settlements, and sculpting ALMOST made the list but something about them just doesn't feel right yet. I'd love to hear what y'all like about the game.
Cheers!

I love how the Meteor has been reduced to a sculpting tool. I also think its cute that you sacrifice followers that "don't do what you've told them" - since they do exactly what you tell them. ( PEBCAK) Its good to see that atleast some of the target audience that Peter had in mind has been reached.

Actually, they DON'T always do what you've told them, hence my statement. Specifically, when I direct them to a plot to farm/mine. If it's too close to an 'open' field or mine, they use that one instead. Make sense?
As far as your other statement, you couldn't be more off base. Check my Steam forum posts, and you'll know what I mean. Godus has PLENTY of problems, I'm jsut trying to focus on the things I actually like about the game. There are plenty of other threads where we discuss the things we dislike, this is just doing the opposite. Go shit in someone else's cereal, Danjal.

I've spoken my mind about the things I like about Godus a few times before. I've even caught myself up in the starry-eyed talk of what Godus could be with the rest of the white knight community. Unfortunately, some of those very things that I really liked have been removed and some have been altered to be more monetesation-friendly, which leads me to be a pinch skeptical when writing "i like" posts. If only for the simple fact that even with the community seething with praise for a particular function/mode/etc... there's no guarantee 22Cans won't just tip it on its ear with the next mobile build PC optimisation. One thing I can say, is that I honestly love most everything about the art direction. It's brilliant. My praise, however, stops there. I'll chime in on this in full when we reach the end of the PC sprint "later this year" someday.

Like I said, PEBCAK - they do exactly as you tell them to. Its not their fault your orders aren't explicit.
As for the rest of your assumptions - perhaps you should consider not leaving your cereal out to get stale. Cause I for one didn't mess with it. I merely remarked on how its amusing that the Meteor has been reduced to a sculpting tool by everyone. It greatly amuses me.

In a round about way you're both saying essentially the same thing here, but with a slight variation in terms. The followers only do exactly what the control mechanism tells them - by proxy of player direction - but it's such a finicky and buggy system (Targeting, pathfinding, etc.) things don't always execute as expected. Go shit in someone else's cereal, Danjal. Lol. I almost sprayed milk out my nose reading that... and I haven't had any for hours. ]As for the rest of your assumptions - perhaps you should consider not leaving your cereal out to get stale. Cause I for one didn't mess with it. I half expected you to come back with, "You eat shit for breakfast?", but you managed to keep it pretty civil. Sort of. ]I merely remarked on how its amusing that the Meteor has been reduced to a sculpting tool by everyone. It greatly amuses me. This explains which I cackle monomaniacally whenever I hurl multiple meteors at the highest mountain tops, rending them into smoking craters. I find it cathartic, especially because it's a ridiculous use of such a power. I think my post says it best.

If this OP is happy with certain parts of Godus, then they are. There is nothing wrong with people liking different aspects of the game or not. I am not sure if the OP meant, I love all about the game but these are best or I don't like much except these are good or something in the middle. Either way is fine. My thing I like about the game is the meteor too. The astari were teasing my people from a mountain top one time, and I pretty much made them dust with a meteor tot sweet. Meteors ................good.
