Yes, the entire freemium business model relies on monetary transactions, aside from a few smaller ones that get their money through advertisements. Pretty much guaranteed that if there's a store - there's real-money-transactions involved. And as I understand it, some people easily pay upwards of 50~100 euros/dollars if they don't pace themselves and just keep buying packages. The abusive ones get kids hooked and kids that get access to a credit card literally spend hundreds or thousands of euros/dollars. Only a few days ago I saw a report of a kid that had a creditcard hooked to the itunes account and spent €37k (x1,25 approx for dollars) on some mobile game. Thats real money... Not ingame currency... Got to love scum bag MBAs and short term thinking. "could'a been a contender!", sad they fucked themselves.

tigris, I know you hate 22cans with a passion, but I'd appreciate it if you would stop targeting your hatred towards other people. If you really wanted to bring 22cans down, go petition Apple about having a beta product on their store. Or petition Steam about the nebulous way they keep to their store features. Or even look into actual legal actions...
But stop exclusively posting your weekly rage posts towards other people. Its not appreciated...

Thanks guys for the answer: Ok, so money is spent by iOS players for the gems. I definitely hope that PC version while it will be in its dev sprints, will take its own directions of a real PC game, that possibly iOS investers will like to play later on...
I just needed to know about that money questions that 22cans can get funds... , 'cause well paying money for gems as a "customers "in a still early access game. It's not for example what I'd like to do, and maybe people would probably need to know about it before.
Concerning that topic of Astaris(slightly childish civ.), well, I believe this one was one more direction of dev to the game, introducing a slice of AI...

And thats the very reason why so many PC players are concerned, annoyed or even outright pissed off. Because we're effectively paying for a shoddy freemium iOS title.
Oh sure, they promise us that they'll get around to a solid PC title at some point in the future. But we know how that goes.... (Spacebase DF-9? Towns?, any of the meriad other SEA titles that got cut short because of developer incompetence and lack of funds...)

I got the def of Gems in the meanwhile godus.gamepedia.com/Gem . iOS players pay for their gems atm, So, I hope the studios makes enough so as to continue in the develpment, then we ll be able to get the PC version as stated in their roadmap www.22cans.com/godus-roadmap-where-are-we-headed/
Nobody who's been able to talk on the forums about the game, the so-called community, wants a freemium version.

So please do detail my, "exclusively posting your weekly rage posts towards other people" Your passive/aggressive approach is a pure looser on the change front regardless of the high quality of your suggestions. and, GFY ciao
