Im thinking in particular of the ones that require 150 mines to unlock.

Also are luxury abodes an improvement? They seem worse based on the stat changes shown on the cards.

I know I didn't bother to, even with GodusInspector. Since so many of them end up just making the game take longer for next to no benefit, there's practically no point.

The one Im thinking of is the mining village although it takes so damn long to grind out 150 mines.

The one Im thinking of is the mining village although it takes so damn long to grind out 150 mines. It literally just lets you group more abodes together by increasing the smoosh radius. And it probably costs a load more belief just for a slightly larger smoosh ring.

My thinking with the cards is its going to be a lot harder to unlock the mining village at weyworld so it's better to get it before I go.

I suspect "unlock all the care" is a typo, but I prefer to think of it as a metaphor.

Well the fun part is you can't unlock it at Weyworld anyway. =P Gotta do that in Homeworld.

Also are luxury abodes an improvement? They seem worse based on the stat changes shown on the cards. They are an upgrade if you play coffee-break-style. If you only log in ever 4~8 hours to 'tend to the garden' and then go back to work. As previously mentioned. Godus isn't a game, Godus is a chore, something to fill the empty spaces between more important things in life.

I'd spend more time playing GODUS but the timers and the inability to sculpt significant amounts of land put me off. Yesterday I started flattening a section of low level land and sea to make a new spot for an mining settlement to work towards the 150 and I just couldn't do it. The sculpting was so much wrist work I had to give it up.

Hm...You know, I play games to relax and they don't tire me out/frustrate me unless I'm trying to play them expertly (e.g. Dustforce), yet I'm not even trying to do that with Godus and I run into the same sort of Dustforce expert run fatigue/frustration. I find it hard to imagine that's intentional, but at the same time I know it has to be as all it takes is the proper adjustment of certain variables to alter the feel of stuff like that...So why they keep it as-is is beyond me. I quickly move from relaxed to frustrated when I build up momentum and find myself halted either from my ineptitude (as in Dustforce) or the game's poor design (as in Godus). Tired only factors in after I've tried numerous times to overcome my ineptitude or the poor design. I don't mind the former, because when I get it right I know I've grown better. I mind the latter because when I get it right, I know I've probably had to exploit the hell out of something stupid.

So why they keep it as-is is beyond me. The only reason I can imagine this to be the case is that Peter is so convinced that he created something wonderful that he isn't willing to take any criticism to the contrary. At the end of the day we aren't enjoying ourselves because *we* play the wrong way. If only we would just give in, and play 'his way', if we would play during coffee breaks for the rest of our lives paying a $5 fee to buy gems on a weekly basis. I mean thats what zen is all about right? Paying a $5 fee to gems on a regular basis and 'tending' to the garden. Playing games for entertainment? Pfah, thats so last century!
