Danjal, all I was saying was that in the original pitch, Godus was not described as "PC focused" - that's your inference, not something we explicitly stated. Right from the very start, the studio made its intentions clear that Godus would be brought to mobile devices as well as desktop PCs, so to say we originally pitched "a PC focused title" is factually inaccurate. You are 100% correct in that Godus drew upon the heritage of B&W, Populous and Dungeon Keeper as part of the original pitch and I agree that free-to-play mechanics were not made explicit either, that much is absolutely true. However, Peter always had mobile in mind so it's not true to say that the original pitch for Godus was with a focus on PC, at least from the studio's perspective. Inference faulty, PC focus not found. Receiver error. Run diagnostic>Y Error. Error. Transmitter faulty. Receiver not. Context retrieval> Organ Trail. Funded: January 19, 2012.Double Fine Adventure. Funded: March 13, 2012.FTL. Funded: April 1, 2012.Wasteland 2. Funded: April 17, 2012.The Banner Saga. Funded: April 20, 2012.Shadowrun Returns. Funded: April 29, 2012.Republique. Funded: May 11, 2012.Planetary Annihilation. Funded: September 14, 2012.Project Eternity. Funded: October 16, 2012.Star Citizen. Funded: November 19, 2012.Godus. Funded: December 21, 2012.List.end. See further context here. Thank you for your time. As you can see from this sampling alone, the majority of the games Kickstarted in 2012 were PC-focused. Those that would have a mobile version made available, were more direct in their working towards that end. Examples: Organ Trail:"We released the game about 14 months ago and the game exploded beyond our expectations with over 600K players so far. So we've decided to listen to the fan's comments and turn Organ Trail into a proper game for iPhone, iPad and Android. We want the PC/Mac version to be something that you would buy on services like Steam or Desura." The Banner Saga:From section, Additional funding allows us to, 2nd bullet point: "Porting to more devices. Our first release will be on PC and Mac, but funding would allow us to convert the game to iOS, the Kindle Fire, consoles like XBLA and PSN and maybe even portable gaming devices like the Vita." Republique:From section Unique PC & Mac version:"One of the best things about Kickstarter is that it allows us to have a a direct connection with the community and have a dialogue with them. Upon announcing République for iOS, we received an incredible amount of buzz for the game. It also generated a lot of commentary on the chosen platform. We as a team are still committed to iOS, but now, thanks to the community's feedback, we are committed to delivering a unique version of République specifically designed for PC and Mac with new features, gameplay and story elements that speak to the strengths of the platform." The only immediate exceptions I can find would be with the following titles: Shadowrun Returns, which is not very clear on which platform would receive focus:"Jordan Weisman, the creator of Shadowrun, is back and Shadowrun Returns (for Apple & Android tablets and PCs) is the game that Shadowrun fans have been waiting for a long time." That and Godus, of course, all we see there is the following in relation to platform development:"GODUS is a delightful reinvention of the god game from 22cans and Peter Molyneux, who created the genre. Mac, PC, Mobile iOS & Android" "GODUS will be developed for the Mac, PC and Mobile devices, we hope to be able to add more platforms as our Kickstarter campaign progresses." From the FAQ:Which platforms do you support? "We will be making GODUS for the Mac, PC Windows and mobile (smartphones and tablets iOS and Android) initially. We'd love to be able to do Linux as well." Will making Godus for mobile platforms mean it will be dumbed down? "No absolutely not. We are gamers at 22cans, we love depth as much as we love innovation. We will be playing the game with you during our Alpha and Beta stages, so if anyone gives us feedback we will look at that. But we're not making a dumbed down game. The PC (Windows) version will be hands down the most beautiful!!" So yeah. Please stop blaming the receiver for a transmission fault.

Too bad we didn't save the thread where it was explicitly stated about PC as main platform. Not to mention both iOS and Android were stretch goals, IMMSMW.

I wasn't a kickstarter backer but when I read about the kickstarter I always assumed mobile would be a slave to pc and not the other way around.

I would love to see a conclusive poll taken specifically to illustrate exactly how many people would have funded Godus had 22cans made it perfectly clear that a mobile, free-to-play game was Peter's intention and priority all along. I know we've rehashed this time and time again, but lets say it, all together now. "LETS FUND A FREE, INVEST-TO-PLAY MOBILE GAME EVERYBODY!" PM had to have known he'd be laughed out of town for that one. Cling to your facts if you must, George. We're all well aware of how this narrative-rodeo has played out. Although I find it mildly amusing that oft times when facts happen to occur in favor of your narrative they are indeed "facts", and when they don't you consider their meaning or validity subjective. There's an app for that.

Do you think any of these strechgoals will ever be implemented? Maybe it would have been better to have ios and android as strechgoals.
Ah, wait. I am sure the tutorial messages are written by James Leach, so that stretchgoal is in. And everyone can found his own sect in real life so that's in, too + facebook. Linux and Ouya version - uhm they never said it would be a version of Godus ... could be a Version of a windows wallpaper, especially for linux. multiplayer they have done in Alpha, so it's ok, never told that it would be there forever. Changed the starting map three times - those are the different singleplayer modes.
And by the way. They never said that these stretchgoals would ever be implemented so it is factually inaccurate to say that these have to be implemented. They only showed us Cards with words and numbers on them - that doesn't mean they have to do anything now.
@gmr Leon: Isn't what Monkeythumbz said their usual word twisting? "We never said that the game would be not f2p on mobile, ok we said that if you want to play it on ios you should back for a second key, but that's not the same. " ...

I'll keep a copy in here, just in case. Funny, 'cos when I get called a liar and a con man (given they directly reference the mod team) it's hard not to take it as a personal attack rather than "constructive criticism" that's worthy of your defence. But hey, what do I know? Eff me, right? Sorry, boy, I don't know about UK's laws, but here, in Russia, misleading people and taking their money without delivering on promises is a crime, мошенничество, which is translated in English as a "con". And by the article 33 a man who assists, executes orders of, organizes, or incites people into committing a crime are defined as accomplices. By the article 25 of the same code part 3 crime committed (or assisted) by a man who realizes socially dangerous consequences of the crime and does not desire those consequences but ignores them or deems them irrelevant or insignificant is indirectly intentional crime. By article 24 of the same code, both direct or indirect intent is a basis of finding an offender (and any accomplices) guilty. There is, of course, article 31, where a said man, offender or accomplice, can be found innocent after stopping himself from participating in a crime... But you want your paycheck so you keep working for them, right? You're not Sam who left right after realising where everything is going to. So print it and paste it on the wall: YOU ARE A CON MAN. BY DEFINITION OF LAW OF RUSSIAN FEDERATION. IF SOMEBODY FILED A LAWSUIT, THERE IS A HIGH POSSIBILITY YOU WOULD BE ALREADY IN JAIL SINCE I DOUBT THERE IS NO CLEAR DEFINITIONS IN DEMOCRATIC COUNTRY LIKE UK. And nothing personal, my dear. It's just your job.

Not just russian law, US law, UK law, australian law, canadian law - those are just a few that I quickly found where consumer law specifically defines certain characteristics when it comes to misleading the consumer through advertising and sales pitches.
