Irish whiskey can be nice but it's not scotch and thus no whisky.

I've had some Irish whiskeys but Scotch is generally better. And bourbon tastes like peppermint.

About to finish up a bottle of Ardmore. Good stuff. 46% (that's the alcohol percentage not the progress I've made on the bottle)

In my life I never wished to drink it. After all, alcohol is only usable for disinfection, cleaning, and heat control while cooking in my book.

Dunno, don't really think the Whiskey/Whisky thing is prevalent these days. Beam call Jim Beam Whiskey, but Maker's Mark Whisky despite them both just being straight bourbon. Maybe there's something I'm not getting? Did they acquire Maker's Mark from others and are just honouring the description given by the creators, who had Scottish roots?

It's all nice and well hanging out here in Croatia but there's one thing that this country is seriously lacking and that is good whisky. All they seem to have around here is Johnny Walker red label, Jameson, Ballantines and Jack Daniels. I accidentally found a Macallan in a Konzum store but it was pricey and to be honest it turned out not to be that much better than the other options. I miss Holland.
