I've got a miner in Wheyworld on non mineable land building something. When touched it sys above him, level 1 and a pic of the outline for two people, one's pink and one empty. What's he doing?

Well, somehow it's a mine. Another miner joined her, and while there's no actual built mine where they are, and it's on normal land that's just a tiny space between 3 buildings, and is just called a Level 1 when you touch it for info, it produces 40 ore every 3-5 minutes!
I wish I could figure out how to post some screenshots because the size of the ore icon when it's ready to be collected is hysterical. It looks like some massive alien ship is hovering above the town.

Pink is astari in the abode is it not? By that I mean one of your follower from astari stock be that a weyworld convert or one you brought from homeworld.

Then all you'd have to do is copy the link from the pic on your imgur and paste it in a forum post. |

Any screenshots made using the steam overlay can be accessed through your steam account - any screenshots made through other means would indeed need the usage of a site such as imgur or photobucket to upload it and then post that link.

It's actually called a Rank 2, not a level 2, I got that wrong, but it hasn't gone away like my boosted growth rate on wheat did after the game closed. Thank God(us) for that too as I just unlocked two more beacons, one for 200 and one for 800 ore. It'd take forever without this extra ore.

It's taken me 6 days of play to ALMOST get the 150 level done - I had 130 this morning

Well, they only get worse. The two I'm working on now were 1000, and 1400 ore.

Finally managed to accrue 150, actually jumped from 130 to 200 so back to 50 now with the beacon started to unlock.
Did I miss an explanation of why ore collection was slowed down and ore expenditure went up so much in 2.3+?

Edit: Sorry didn't notice OP was October.  Use the balance file editor, if the production rate it to slow its wrong, they need to see this in posted changes to the steam works! Not sure if they have fixed the labels but if you've got unnamed items in the abode list, mines are the 2nd 6. Up there rate or number of followers you can assign. I've got a BFE file in steam works with faster production but you might find it too quick. Try making you own! |

Yeah weyworld balance is a hot mess right now, I slashed beacon timers, but haven't had time to look into the flow. It's on my to do list, but it's a painfully slow process and I'm still not happy with homeworld so it will be a while before it gets proper attention. |
