If anyone has conquered or killed off the Astarri in Weyworld could you let me know if that allows their land to be utilized?

I've killed off about 20% of them. It appears we have (at least) 3 settlements, I've only seen two but there may be a third unlocked after the beacon of expansion which costs 150 ore - which I've sent a week not unlocking due to the duff ore mechanics introduced like they weren't already slow.

I thought I read there would be 2 Astari tribes and one tribe of assholes. That is what they said. Ok, this is probably a unnecessary question, but does anyone else think the inclusion of the "Meanies" is not only a bit of a 'thumb-to-nose' inclusion, but also that it's a direct rub against the "mean" community? In otherwords, they represent the 'bullies' - or harsh critics - that Peter whined talked about in a couple interviews, and he's just throwing it back in thier (our) faces? Maybe I'm reading into it too much, or reflecting some kind of psychological aspect due to my dissatisfaction that doesn't really exist; but it is peculiar they are introduced and named in such a way. I dunno. Whatever.

I dunno. Whatever. I don't think so. I think the meanies will be a more direct form of interference. The astari aren't bad, they just want to party. The meanies sound to me like they are going to be a lot more direct. Btw I've been having a bit of a break - civ:beyond earth kinda sucks - so if there is information about the meanies that is in the game or the forums that contradicts what I say my excuse is I haven't been playing/reading. Is weyworld worth playing at this stage?

Update: I killed off all the Astarri last night and, no, you can't sculpt their land. They're at 0, no longer on the happiness meter, no more festival countdown, but their land is still locked out.

*self~snip* I dunno. Whatever. Well, the way I look at it is, either way, who gives a shit. Yeah, that's exactly how I feel (hence the "Whatever"). I just needed to get it off my chest. I don't think so. I think the meanies will be a more direct form of interference. The Astari aren't bad, they just want to party. The meanies sound to me like they are going to be a lot more direct. Maybe, I guess. But they could have called them something more creative, and less juvenile. This whole game is just... immature. Frak if I know, I stopped playing when it was taking too long to even collect enough resources to build the Ark.

I've no metre in weyworld. No astari on the homeworld one but the metre is still there. For me in homeworld I originally only introduced farming when I clicked on astariville to see if I could scuplt it yet or anything so its possible something needs to happen in weyworld to trigger the access to the 3 astari villages (only seen 2 myself thus far but I've only just started to unlock the 150 ore beacon so expect the magical 3rd to appear).

In homeworld, after triggering the nearby exlansion spire, I beleive you have to send Followers into the Astari villiage first, build a few plots, and then wait for the Settlement there to fill up before it unlocks sculpting around it. If that doesn't unlock it right away, you may also have to log out and back in; that seems to clear a lot of the trigger hangups/glitches in Goadus. So I assume it would function similarly in Waynesworld.

Why is it you can't aculpt astari land? I never understood that. It has to do with the way they protected the terrain. Its like how you can no longer sculpt underneath where the game thinks the giants/ogres/champions are in the voyage missions. And how you can no longer sculpt underneath beacons and temples (or settlements). In many ways its one of the many bandaids they applied because they couldn't (or didn't want to spend time on) implement a better fix.

Why is it you can't aculpt astari land? I never understood that. It'd be the cheapest way to destroy structures if you could do that. It was also probably classified as "finicky" as you expanded your own civilization, so "fix" it by gradually rendering the world un-sculptable with your civilization.

I can sculpt land around the Homeworld Astari settlement, but not crush their celebration idol thing nor the two statues there. It's in the way of my world domination!
Eh, who am I kidding. I quit playing caring a while ago.

I hit the 3rd astari village with a couple of meteors and it have very little effect - for much belief. FoG seems a better solution still.

And does anyone succeed to "conquer" those Astaris without "killing" anybody ? ??

I managed it in homeworld but killed as few as I could - they were mocking me so they deserved it! But I only killed off a dozen or so in homeworld, the reset turned to me with their happiness dip after swamping them, village.
I'd not tried meteor on them so did here in weyworld but I think it killed none. So swamp immunity (on homeworld) is one thing but meteor immunity would be a very big change. Maybe they just got really lucky and were in their bomb shelters when they struck.

And does anyone succeed to "conquer" those Astaris without "killing" anybody Some people do, but it takes a stupid amount of patience, much like everything else in the game. It's also the dullest way to engage them, worse even than Black & White 2, where to approach it from a conquest through impression meant you turned the game into a citybuilder more than a god game. In Godus, it really shrinks it down to a petty, x amount of time clicker to compete, so to get some excitement you're much better off tossing over meteors and fingering them.

Ok, I see. 22cans would be then guilty to bring us into the dark side of the Force... mmm, they'll have to developp different approaches to enrich the gameplay for the good side that it has..., 'cause true that B&W series was quite a paîn / unfunny to play the good side...

It's easier to envisage evil things, because we can all recognise badness. Plus, good stuff usually ends up seeming really silly, even if done well. So, now you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb.
