More than a little unimpressed with the 'you can avoid the timers' (gee a whole 15 minutes of build time) by using a screen widget which has the effect of making your followers unhappy. My timer issues are the 6 day ones, which cannot count down accurately - I'm less concerned about unhappy followers and more concerned about unhappy backers. Seriously. If the longest timer was 15 minutes, no one would be complaining. |

IIRC we started working on this update about one week before the last release to the opt-in branch, which was on June 19th. In total, we'll have spent between 1.5 and 2 months on this update. I guess you might be right. It just feels like you've been talking about it for much longer. |

If only they did. Unless it's been significantly improved, running through the motions of "Chat with neighbors, sit by tree, sit by coast, get together and campfire party!" hardly constitutes a mind of your own. Having a mind of your own would be shoving the layers around to build your own little homes, discover temples, and wander around without me having to discover 2 meter awareness to recognize, oh my gosh, that hut next door has other beings like me in it! It'd be forming settlements on their own without you, it'd be wandering outside of your influence and becoming their own people, and I could go on and on. I admire the enthusiasm, but it's really almost childlike, as if they've never done this before. It'd be like if I yammered on about how I figured out how to program unit patrols in a game or something, or idle animations (which is what these appear like on a superficial level, despite the supposed interworkings of it). |

Ah, that is why you don't see me posting on the other forms lately. Aynen is a good person but one who had rose colored, no make that fuschia colored glasses on since day one. He also has claimed to have extra knowledge before that mods have disproved. I am shocked that they made him a mod. I do find it frustrating to hear people at 22cans that were not here during kickstarter to lecture about how the monies were planned to have been spent that is completely against what was told to us by 22cans when they actually were trying to get the money from us. Good for Sam. |
