That's an interesting video there Raspofabs. But what exactly does a procedural scene renderer do?

Okay, so in case of your particular little project, what kind of functions are going in and what are their respective results?

Okay, so in case of your particular little project, what kind of functions are going in and what are their respective results? You can see all the functions being used in the data folder. I made the project open source. Mostly the functions are vertex position lookups, some do precalculating, and others are pure functions that return values based only on the incoming value (the cube and cylinder generators for example) It's very open. Not many restrictions on the for going nuts. In particular, the fact that you can generate scenes from within scenes means that the trees were ready to do as a recursive procedural thingy.

Which reminds me, did the blog with my how to on procedural landscape stuff ever go out? I wrote a tutorial thing that was meant to go out last year, but I never heard anything about it. The editor is in the mainline release now, right?

If it's not already out there, I'll poke him to publish it. No point in not having it available for people who might enjoy playing with the tech.

Last few posts are stuff about shutting down for holidays, top app store and competition stuff, christmas coming to Godus, weekly dev update, and help us with PC sprint.

I'll need two thing to happen before I can post this blog...
1. I need the website to comeback online. (Hopefully, we'll be able to get this back online soon). 2. I need the web developer to create me an account so I can write the blog. (This will happen once the website comes back online).

It's not even compatible code. It's all Linux based openGL stuff. Not marmalade.
