It is funny how PM has blamed us horrid backers and more so the players for his failure to follow through on Godus? We are bullies and over-all bad guys but yet I hear a decent out cry for support for Monkeythumbz, Matthew Allen, Raspofabs and also Sam. I think that speaks mountains, we are far from bullies, we are just upset with PM for promising a product and and never coming close to providing it. He also bad-mouthed us to the press and insulted us. Who is the real bully? I would suggest we change our name to "Godus and Beyond" because I think we are cohesively bigger than 22cans and our community deserves to grow beyond it.

Yes everything we say is lies until it is preached from the godkings mouth as his insight at which point it becomes gospel. With time most of our criticisms have been validated, many of them confirmed by peter himself.

I'm ready to support it. Not like I know UK's laws, though, so someone still has to file it..

You know what else is ironic?
Peter possibly planning on making a statement on Kickstarter (this week?) to explain deflect how he admitted to lying being misunderstood about promises he made during the Godus Kickstarter. The irony, I suppose, comes in where he expects anyone to believe him. The tragedy comes in when a few sorry sods actually do.

Ah, another 3 month go by but nothing changes in Godus. Peter still blaming everyone except himself for this mess and throwing Poor PR people like Sam, George and that self proclaimed "rock star" guy under the bus to try to buy him time to distance himself from the crime scene,
Why doesn't he just admit he screwed up? I don't know a veteran software engineer who hasn't at some point in their career promised a client/boss that a job would work only to find out once they get to the coal face that they have just totally underestimated the effort and it's not going to work as the expected. After what 2 years, I totally accept that in terms of the mobile platform F2P was probably the only way to make the game work on mobile. People don't pay up front for mobile. I also accept that he probably didn't know this at the time of the kickstarter he was accidently misleading so many of us in the presale. The problem is his behaviour since he realised, My guess is in his excitement after getting funded he went to Dena who broke the news it wasn't going to fly with those wings and instead of just coming out and saying "Guys I've messed up" he started to lie, he tried to rewrite history to fit the present and that's impossible when the history it so well documented. Then as the lies snowballed and got bigger and bigger and people got annoyed with "how can this guy so bare faced lie to us when we all know it's a big lie" he accused those of calling him out of being a bully and we have the teary "I was bullied at school" thing... Guess what, your not special... Geeky kids are soft targets, luckily we have the last laugh as we tend to get the best jobs in later life...
In this whole mess, it's the staff I feel sorry for. I've lost a few £100, but that have been robbed of so much more. I'm guessing most of you are a little to young to know this, but Peter reminds me of Johny Rotton in one of the last gig's the pistols ever did, He has Cook and Matlock doing their own thing totally hating everyone else in the band, Sid Vicious is bleeding after starting a fight and being rescued by a bouncer and he just looks around like a mad man thinking, Who did this all go so wrong... A bit like a medieval lord viewing his lands being burned to the ground by an invading army...
Good luck 22Cans team in whatever you do next, Peter, maybe retirement?

I know Notch is mostly done with public life, but I wonder if his glowing endorsement of Godus that 22cans so proudly emblazoned on their Kickstarter page still holds true.

Alas. The history only goes back to 23 December 2013. ...quite convenient and total BS too. My and Ba'al's posts from a former forum we belonged to have a shit-load of our posts (many thousands) from 2011 and on, so I don't believe for a second it is so due to anything other than pure censorship. Pruning, my ass. The forum is nowhere big or busy enough to require a fraction of that type of "moderation". Someone should look up what that word actually means.

I think the Hot Tub machine would be way cooler and less painful. Which is saying a lot that for me, that movie sucked. LOL.

I was talking about Twitter, not some forum. I'm sure there is likely a way to check Twitter further back, I just am not certain how. Some internet searching may be required. EDIT: Nevermind, I see you got it. I've been wondering what happened to a lot of the early 22cans Alpha and Backer forum stuff, too. Although a fair number of posts did carry over in the forum upgrade/switch, there still seems to be an inconvenient portion that didn't make the transition; not to mention all the Alpha and Backer posts that got "moderated" into obscurity. There was some very important, and sadly damning, information about the early development within those posts.

I wonder if he'll ever be in a position where he can share those facts with us.

I think right now he's distracted, with the holidays.
