Where the ability to spell is neither desirable nor necessary... Or maybe mobile agility has introduced a new word into the language. As a developer myself there is no way I'd interview for any firm who fails such basic, informal maybe, but basic announcement/notice.

I know games development has a large range of titles, makes me think of the Unsullied, and their new name a day...

Ok, at least they admit it now that the title is a pure mobile game. So can we get our money back now?

Ok, at least they admit it now that the title is a pure mobile game. So can we get our money back now? I think it might be that they're splitting the teams between desktop and mobile, and need an experienced Producer specifically designated just for the mobile side of development. That could very well be a good thing if it means that a they've truly split the platforms, and can focus on improving each to meet the expectations of their respective demographic. Or... it could mean they're preparing to move all Godus desktop production to work on "The Trail", thus finalising Godus as a pc game and just focusing on supporting it for mobile. But that's just speculation...

Were this happening a year ago, I'd be more confident. That it's happening now isn't promising. We all can see where the funding for the mobile version will come from but the pc division is a project with no backing at this stage. Where's the money going to come from? It's been repeated ad nauseam that 22Cans doesn't have the manpower to split their staffing between platforms so they'd need to add manpower to make this work. Remember, Kickstarter funding was used up by the time SEA rolled out. Overall, funding's been a major concern for all platforms, with pc being the one that lacks a steady influx of cash to fund continued development. Rather than showing a focus on developing the pc version, this looks like the preliminary step in dumping it from the overall project. To show any confidence in this move, we'd need some insight into how the pc division is going to operate. How many people will be on this team? What's the funding look like? How long is the projected project lifecycle for this area? At this stage, blindly trusting 22Cans to know how to manage this project is a sucker's bet.

What i have learnd from the past two years: "Don't trust 22cans".
You say you are splitting the teams between desktop and mobile, ok. You need a new producer to do it, one for mobile one for Desktop and none for the trail (or what ever)? Sounds strange. Maybe you will say, uh we had two producers before, and one is doing the trail now, the other desktop godus, the third (new) is for mobile godus. Ok, sounds good, but why splitting the teams now and not before, if there have been so many producers? Even then there will be three producers but only one (small) team ... yes that sounds 22cans like. Every morning they have to play Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Molyneux to get the art team or the programmers. Three parallel projects? I have seen two years of one project. That's enough.
For me it sounds like: One Producer for the trail, one producer for mobile godus and one final pc sprint to do some pets, digitial Kickstarter rewards and rudimentary modding tools (maybe less).
Can't remember any of my predictions for godus not come true. We'll see. one year ago i would have said "I would like to see it come like you said", but nowadays i say "Expect the worst. But in the end it gets even worse."

The Trail isn't in production yet, it's only at the concept/design stage, although tbh I don't know very much at all about that project.
