Well, I can tell you for a fact that 22cans is definitely the most... unique work environment I've experienced throughout my career. From the outside looking in, we can only imagine. I hope your new job allows you to truly shine and feel confident in your skills and endeavors. I wish you oodles of success and fulfilling engagements, George.

Thanks Crumpy, I concur... although you forgot the bit about how each update introduced more bugs than it fixed! That is right but that is not your fault! i know sometimes we had a hard time but you really have done a good Job the only Thing what i didnt liked about you was the fact that you work for a company that doesnt care about his customers/community and always tell us Things in a Marketing speech

Huh. In the unofficial roadmap I wrote, I gave George until March 2015. Everything moves so fast these days. George, over recent months I've had the impression that you've not been particularly enjoying your role as community liaison, so that's all the more reason to congratulate you on your new job. I'm sure there are multiple factors in your decision to make this change, and it sounds like you've found an exciting opportunity with your new company. I bet a more manageable commute will make a huge difference to your quality of life. Also, while we outsiders can only speculate as the day-to-day realities of working for PM, it doesn't like a very rewarding experience when you're trying to be a CM. You've done a lot for the community and I know you've tried to do a whole hell of a lot more than what has actually been achievable given the constraints you've worked within, so thanks for that. Will you be sticking around the forums? Thanks. Ultimately, this is the first gig where I wasn't able to deliver a big win for the community and it's made me feel bad at my job, which in turn has impacted my mood on a day-to-day basis. Consequentially, I've made the decision to move on to a sphere where I can generate success more consistently. I'll probs log in to ProBoards from time-to-time, happy to see the back of Steam though. Hopefully, you aren't moving into the QA realm. I've spent 10 years beating my head against that wall and am moving over to the developer side of things the first chance I get. In my experience, the only people that get less respect than Automated Test Developers are Visual Basic programmers (Not necessarily mutually exclusive conditions)... Oh, and Merry Christmas!
