Anyone who is financially invested in 22cans, which we don't know because it's not a publicly owned company. It's entirely to be expected that they are pushing for maximal money, but it's far more interesting to hear that Peter was still adamant about gems 6 months ago. It kinda says a lot considering how consistently & uniformly the entire PC community has been against them since they were first implemented. I said this since first Alpha, Mobile F2p was planned all along, at the very least since DeNa. Peter sold his soul, a long time ago. Sure, mobile f2p was probably planned a long time ago. But just because the mobile version was f2p doesn't mean that the PC version ever needed to be - I know that an awful lot of people (me included) have always said that the whole mobile & pc linking stuff was a horrible idea and impossible to implement in reality. The people at 22cans aren't idiots, if we were able to see this then they will have done too, so why they continued with it is beyond me.

PM wanted the F2p and was not willing to spend any money on making a PC game without it's shared core F2p mechanics. We called that in Alpha too.

The problem is the constant sales, incredibly poor game (as of today) and the extremely poor record of actually delivering, means that the pc platform has no real income potential. This wasn't inevitable, 22cans achieved this through 15 months of neglect and development that largely made the game worse. It makes Moo's job almost impossible because PC won't generate revenue until the game is better and he won't get the resources he needs until the game is generating revenue. Classic chicken and egg.
Imagine a world where Moo's attitude had reigned 15 months ago.

Nope I've just been corrected. Dave is going to announce on Monday. HAL 9000: Just what do you think you're doing, Dave?
