Hi
I made a post on the 22cans forum about this but the whole forum seems to be down so I though I'd sum up my Godus feedback here.
I have nearly finished Weyworld (2 beacons left) and have some feedback if anyone at 22 cans is interested.
Bugs:
1) Even after defeating the Astari on Weyworld and unlocking all surrounding beacons, I am still not able to create new fields on the Astari farm land areas. I can sculpt the land, I have occupied the Astari settlement which is in one of these areas, but no plots are selectable on the Astari farm land so my farmers will not build fields there - they will only occupy any existing fields that are already there. I am also unable to open sticker chests that appear in these areas:
2) Regarding the icons for Ore, Wheat and Belief at the bottom left of the screen, which animate (bounce) when there is the associated resource available to collect. Sometimes the Ore icon does not animate, so you think there is no Ore to collect, but on a lot of occasions there is.
3) AI. Followers seem to get 'blocked' (when you get the 'Tap to see any blocked Followers' message) quite a lot, even when they are right outside/in front of whatever it is they are supposed to be going to.
4) Screen rotation is clunky, a lot of the time it doesn't work, or it 'rights' itself again automatically when you've got the screen rotated how you want it.
5) Buildings will appear in the wrong places - for example, 'beach hut' coloured buildings will appear at higher altitudes, monestary coloured buildings will appear in the wrong areas.
6) Previously 'beautified' areas will suddenly become un-beautified.
7) Gem seams have suddenly appeared after I have already un-burried Treasure Temples, at a higher altitude than the Temple, so I can't sculpt the land back for my miners to be able to walk on land to mine the gems because you cannot sculpt under monuments - therefore any gems directly above the monument you cannot mine.
General feedback:
1) Sculpting. I've changed my own mind a couple of times on this, but I think sculpting should be a selectable power (like Beautify/Rain of Purity, etc) rather than an always-on, one finger ticket to inadvertantly smashing up your beautifully crafted staircases which took ages to build. Then navigating around the world should be one-finger, rather than two - on a smaller mobile device's screen, moving around the world with two fat fingers is irritating as you're frequently inadvertently making the settings screen or the facebook screen, etc pop up.
2) Treasure Temples. Why would you put Treasure Temples in the valuable areas like the grey mining areas? Seems that they should just be in the neutral areas so they don't limit the amount of mines you can build in these scarce areas.
3) Storms. They're so irritating and way too frequent. As soon as you log in to the game you might as well wait a few minutes for the storms to stop before you try and leash any followers to do anything. I just think that while they're 'pretty' they just serve no purpose other than to irritate the user. I thought that unlocking the 'blue skies' card would get rid of them for good, but alas no.
4) Card/Stickers. The whole system seems half-arsed, you end up with millions of stickers and no cards to unlock, then you unlock a card and instantly fill it with stickers.....it's just badly implemented imho.
5) It's too easy to select objects in the game while trying to collect belief (for example), bringing up the info blobs at the bottom, which you then inadvertantly press while you're trying to do something, then have to close the resulting info window. Irritating. I mean, why do you need info for a tree? What could you possibly want to know about a tree other than what you can see with your eyes?
6) Optimisation. This game is the single most resource hungry, battery draining software on my phone. My phone actually gets really hot while playing this game, this happens with no other games (I play similar games like CoC and BoomBeach for example). I suspect there is more optimisation to do?
7) The text around unbuilt beacons (for example) - i.e. how many builders required, how much ore required, how much wheat required, and how much time left to build is too small. Even if you zoom right in the text doesn't seem to zoom at the same rate as the objects so it's still hard to read on a mobile device.
8) Finally, I don't like the way you have to buy belief collection with gems, and when you do the tiny radius of effect. Which essentially means you have to manually collect all your belief. Irritating.
Then the game just kind of ends. The voyages on the boat a long-distant memory at the start with no further missions. Homeworld left abandoned with nothing to do but increase your population which is a boring, as I'm sure will happen with Weyworld for me once I've unlocked the last two beacons. The game has a lot of potential and I have enjoyed it, but the overwhelming feeling is one of irritation at all the niggly things wrong with it (getting spammed constantly with follower blocked messages and finding the follower in question standing right outside his abode, but still not able to see it), and the frustration of sitting there with Rain of Purity for hours just trying to get enough wheat to build beacons due to the fact that I could not build precious fields on the Astari farm land.
