I would be rather see certain Kickstarter promises dropped if it allowed others to be better implemented. Is that something we could do? Have the discussion about what the most desirable remaining features are and see if any can be dropped rather than half-assed?

I found this interesting.
"What I have now — and I haven’t done anything with it yet because I was waiting for the final territory release in Godus "
So we are going from the bronze age to the space age in 1 new map when we can not even go 2 ages in a Map now. I find that really hard to believe.
Also looking at the the god of gods has already made a lot of money off the game and must be making money now stil, as the game is making money. I mean Peter would not go back on his promise to him even if he did not make a for him to be de-throned.

What I'm talking about is pretty much non-negotiable. There's no way they could push out a version of Godus without implementing multiplayer (The whole God of Gods system specifically) and expect it to fulfill contractual obligations for Kickstarter. Additionally, it would open them up to possible action by anyone that bought into Curiosity because it eliminated the "prize" they were promising for that entire game. Imagine if there was a raffle for something "completely awesome and mind-blowingly cool" inside a sealed box. The raffle finishes, the winner is determined, and it turns out to be empty when the box is opened. It's fraud, no matter how you slice it. That's what the winner of Curiosity and all the people that bought into it are facing. So, not only are they looking at breach of contract for Godus' Kickstarter but they're heading toward possible fraud charges for their previous project. I'd love to get people to clamor for a giant empty box and market it as containing the next big amazing innovation in technology. Talk about cashing in on reputation... Yes you are indeed right. Although in my country they raffled 30 cars (one a day for a month) and they were not delivered. It seemed there was no law against not providing prizes in competitions. Perhaps it's the same in the UK since many of our laws are similar and we have the same common law history. There was a case in the US some years back where a radio station held a contest for a new Toyota. When the actual winner was determined and presented her prize, it was a toy Yoda. They had a good laugh until she sued and won. The Curiosity and Godus situations are even more egregious because people paid money into it and there was the promise of a monetary reward for the God of Gods position players could compete for. Both games are risking being a fraudulent contest and 22Cans is risking legal repercussions if they don't actually produce the prize for the winner. It's bad enough that they're failing to meet their Kickstarter contract but they're looking at a lot more than that. This situation has the potential of being significantly worse than just a few unhappy people demanding refunds. God of Gods was billed as an eSport...

I think PM actually has fears on completing Godus Kickstarter. Why? Cause once it's completed there, it basically falls out of its Early Access state... And will be burnt to the ground by reviews of gaming sites. I doubt it will ever officially finish.
