Good lads. Did anyone email them as they seem to have done a very good job of combing these boards for material?

I hope this isn't going to get Konrad in trouble for his honesty and openness on these boards (I suspect it might).

I hope this isn't going to get Konrad in trouble for his honesty and openness on these boards (I suspect it might). Me too. Having said that it would be a bit much for Peter to criticise Konrad for saying things which reflect badly on the company given he has been a PR nightmare for the last 18 months.

I'm getting the sense that Konrad either doesn't know the full history of the Godus project or doesn't think it's important since the team's been restructured. Part of that could be his relative inexperience with these sorts of projects. Likely, it's a matter of him being around PM and being lead down the primrose path. Take the video released today on the Steam forums. Everyone keeps acting like making him the head of Godus is going to wipe the slate clean. It won't...

Hopefully this will aid as a catalyst for a proper legal reprisal against 22Cons

Hopefully this will aid as a catalyst for a proper legal reprisal against 22Cons I suspect shame from the global gaming media is more powerful in this instance than legal redress. With this in mind I have pushed the article onto other gaming media groups and I suggest others do to. Unfortunately drawing attention to the GODUS situation will likely undermine the good work Konrad is trying to do. While I trust him as an individual the level of resourcing he has and the commitment from the company to furthering GODUS is a joke. We simply can't let 22cans have another 6 months grace while they push out some min or tweaks. Now is the time to write to any games journalists you respect and ask them to name and shame 22cans.

It's unfair that Moo's the one who had to confess hubworld wasn't possible. Peter should have fronted this and shame on him for not doing so and leaving someone else to be tarred with the shame.

Also of note, PC Gamer's echo. (Edit: Whoops, Hardly caught it as I was writing this.) Aside from that, I did send this off, but I think it's mostly just coincidence, even if the find here and developers notes links do happen to direct them to the announcement of The Trail and said post linked in both articles. I think it's worth noting that despite highlighting Konrad's being left with the task of salvaging this project, many in the comments seem to recognize that it is a salvage operation (or simply ignore Konrad's involvement), and are more drawn to criticize Molyneux and throw out the usual, "We told you so's" regarding him.

We all knew it was going to start up eventually. The media has finally taken notice. I'm curious how many more are going to jump in... For some reason the Rock Paper Shotgun link just won't load for me.

Yeah, PC Gamer essentially referenced and then paraphrased the bulk of the RPS article.

Hey, IGN has jumped on the bandwagon. Their article is a bit less specific in the details but we're getting a bit more traction... Edit: Gah, missed this being spotted already!

I think it's unfortunate how Moo's comments, which provide easy pickings for the media, have become front a centre. Really these just acknowledged a reality that Peter created and I would really like to see more focus on him as the one that promised a lot in terms of putting PC first but then never really tried to deliver.

Yeah. RPS handled that better than the followups, but there still hasn't been enough of a look at it from the angle of, mobile took priority over PC and essentially crashed all efforts there.

Really these just acknowledged a reality that Peter created and I would really like to see more focus on him as the one that promised a lot in terms of putting PC first but then never really tried to deliver. The biggest problem with picking up a steaming pile of poo is that you get it all over your hands. The only thing that's truly significant about Moo's statements is that we usually have to wait months to find this information out the hard way rather than just hear it straight. PM is still running this show, he's just placed a new person front and center to take the brunt of our continued dissatisfaction. While I'd like to believe that he got the position out of merit, it's hard to believe someone with more experience didn't opt to step in and take charge. This situation is slightly better than propping up an intern as head of the project. Trying to make this some sort of Cinderella story doesn't change just how implausible a walk-in with little experience went from intern to head developer in less than 2 years, bypassing at least a dozen other employees to get the position. Either it's a largely symbolic title or Moo's a savant that's way under-utilized.
