Looks like a lot of fire fighting ahead for Peter and less time for the trail. Maybe, but when you think about it none of this will impact the viability of the trail. Nobody "buying" the trail on the App Store will Google GODUS or peter Molyneux. It will be F2P so they'll just try it. The best we can hope for is that this sorry saga will inoculate the pc community against getting fooled again. there is also a possibility that miffed mobile players will 1 star it. I not sure we (PC players) are the only unhappy ones.

Another article from RPS following the last one, with this at the end for anyone interested: "It would seem there is a lot more to be learned about what’s happened with Godus. If you would like to contact RPS with details, send an email via my name above this article. We’ve tried contacting Peter Molyneux and 22cans but have so far heard nothing back."

I'm touching on some of it on my monologue on the "Open Board" which is presumptively based on the "Brainless Astari," but is really about 22Cans. Miffed | Define Miffed at Dictionary.com dictionary.reference.com/browse/miffed Miffed definition, put into an irritable mood, especially by an offending incident: I was miffedwhen they didn't invite me to the party. Good word. Under used really.

Personally I don't thibk Godus should have been allowed on the App Store given it is clearly a beta.

I guess this might be a good case in point. Exactly. How much simpler would it have been to just make a PC game. No DeNA, no mo age, no middleware bollocks, no marmalade, etc. I bet there are some coders at 22cans who would have loved that simplicity.

I contacted Kickstarter towards the end of last week about this sham of a project. Here is their boilerplate reply. TL/DR: I doubt they really give two shits about it all. Though the recent deluge of negative press may give them something else to think about. Doubtful mind...

I like: Cats; single malt Scotch; Stargate; Amiga; fried potatoes; retro gaming; cheese; snickers; sticky tape.
I don't like: Dimples in the bottom of scotch bottles; Facebook games masquerading as godgames.

Kotaku covering it. Same request as latest RPS article at the end to contact them if you have additional info you want to share. I sent both RPS & Kotaku emails with a brief rundown of my experience with this nonsense over the past year. Linked the lies/misleading statements thread, mentioned the 6 month delay from 2013-2014 for an update, and linked George's explanation of the summer "silence" as they finished development of the mobile release in August, how issues with that delayed PC development more and then they hopped over to Android development, leaving us with PC development for maybe a week or two at the end of last year and little else. I didn't try to dig into the earlier stuff from 2013 since I wasn't around then and advised them to hope for some backers to chime in that were around for it. Also linked them this stuff for some extra fun, an overview within an overview and a reminder of the context in which Godus' Kickstarter was pitched. Also, if you want to try, you can email pmolyneux@22cans.com & jattridge@22cans.com. They've mentioned this in some of the video updates and various conferences, so it's not like it's private info, by the way. Edit: Gamasutra catches wind of it.

Well I've fired off a reply to Kickstarter now linking several of the articles that have gone live today regarding the situation and also citing their ToCs to project creators. I doubt I'll get a better response from them mind. You know its a shame that all the content from the old alpha forums has disappeared. Think of how much RPS would like to read over some of what was said two years ago and compare it to what we ended up with

This is brilliant. I have been waiting for this moment since February 2014. Keep the links coming.

Thought this might be relevant here, since the articles obviously reached a lot of people. For those who aren't following the steam forums any more: Someone posted detailed instructions on how he and the community got refunds on Elite: Dangerous, when the devs decided they won't be supporting offline single player just before release. steamcommunity.com/app/232810/discussions/0/612823460273196949/#c612823460277675323

Very interesting about KS under UK law. I wonder about Steam Early Access.

I'm hoping to write to RPS tonight adding my perspective on events while noting others - particularly kickstarter backers - have more to add.
I think perhaps we should also write in defence of Konrad. He was the first person to be really honest, to give a shit what we thought from a design point of view and to champion the original vision for this game. It would be nice if the media have him some kudos for this.

I added the links to the OP. If I missed any, let me know and I'll update. I've been having a busy day (month really) and got distracted or I'd have done this sooner...
