Imagine a world where 22cans made GODUS as a PC game, completely ignoring mobile (like XCOM and FTL were) and then just ported it across to mobile. I wonder what that GODUS would look like. I wonder if the steam forums would be a nicer place, or still awash with refund requesters, trolls and flamers. I find it a very hard place to visit now and most of the time I can't be bothered to post.

Can't have a discussion about good games for the PS4 without mentioning Shadow of Mordor. Seriously, that game is way better than I ever expected it to be. Yeah I really want to pick that up - Dragon Age, too.

Yeah, I've been thinking about getting Shadow of Mordor for a while which leads me to the obvious question... Where is the Sauron type adversary for Godus?? There are some amazing similarities between the mechanics of Godus, such as it is, and the early events in the Silmarillion ( back story for Mordor, etc. ) which makes me wonder if anyone at 22Cans ever even read the Silmarillion. The core Godus game, even in its obviously unfinished state, screams out for a Morgoth or Sauron type adversary IMO.

We were told we'd face adversaries (deities?) of all skill types/levels within Godus. Of course we may never see that and they may just chalk it up to "oh, lol, no tech exists for that, lol, el oh el, soz!" Futhermore, whether they're going to actually add single player enemy AI gods in or just tick that checkbox when they eventually flip on multiplayer is anyone's guess. Now that I think about it... if I remember correctly there were a few of Peter's musings that made me wonder if he wanted to keep the adversity in this game lighthearted and "zen", so I'm not sure how far down the rabbit hole he'll allow the game to go as far as truly evil opponents akin to the Silmarillion villains.
