It's a nice sunny day here so I thought I'd do...
Positive things about Godus:
1.) The graphics are beautiful even on my ahem,... retina display.
2.) The treasure chests "wiggle" very nicely.
3.) The sound effects are good, especially when you poke the water.
4.) The bird sounds are nice, though I can't locate the birds.
5.) It looks like we are definitely getting combat.
6.) I'm still a god; a weak god but a god nonetheless.
7.) You can easily not purchase gems.
8.) Godus is half finished but it is unique. I cling to that fact.
9.) the absurdity of the Astari somehow gives me hope.
10.) Konrad

I like: coding, high peat single malts, ... , yeah, that's about it.
I don't like: object oriented design, and liver.

Konrad should hold himself blameless in this, he was merely confirming what we have all long suspected, the fact that Godus is in such a state of disarray is not of his doing, and this shitstorm is also not of his doing, it would have happened anyway, without his involvement, it would have just taken longer to occur, but believe me it was at this point inevitable.
At the end of this both Konrad & Raspofabs will be able to walk away from this with their heads held high, i'm sure the future for them is a bright one.

I think honestly if Godus had been release with out all the hype and with out the promises that game would have been OK. But as other say there is a lot more then these 10 ten things that are going about the game. I would change 10 from Konrad to the 22canners that have visited us on the forums. I do not think there has been a one that has visited us that have not turned out to be a great person that wanted to try and give us the game we wanted.

If Godus was billed as only a mobile game and hadn't released on Kickstarter or SEA, this would have been a fairly decent project. I don't think anyone actually planned for a pc version in any aspect of this project whether it was skill sets, design implementation, scheduling, or organization. The only reason we get pc pushes is because they used an IDE that provided cross-platform functionality.

I think at one point they started making some very bad, no good, awful decisions and it cannon-balled from there. How they lost track of, and continued to lose track of seemingly all things promised, is baffling considering we kept screaming it at them for two fracking years! There was more than just Peter's incompetence going on, and pressure from "Publishers-Not-Publishers", but give me a fucking break. <---- I don't curse much, but I needed that. It's one of the most mind-boggling, worst case scenario, unbelievable examples of bungling a project. To use my industry for example: Imagine starting out on a project to build a Navy Vessel and getting completely sidetracked designing the Captain's Yacht. Inconceivable.

According to the Kotaku article today anonymous former 22cans employees stated that mobile was always the plan from the get go, it was discussed constantly, even in PC specific meetings, so there's that. I think there are many positives to Godus, and there is potential that has yet to be tapped. The problem is, like I've been saying for months, is that there really is no monetary incentive to develop that potential. Luckily for us, the media has given 22cans an alternative incentive, one I'm sure they'll remember for the rest of their lives.

Sort of repeating what I've been saying over in the poll thread, I think this is a case of a number of things coming together to guarantee a nightmare scenario: 1. PM has trouble with Working Memory. He remembers his past. He remembers his present, but he only operates in the now. 2. PM is so caught up in his own "creativity" that he won't listen to people and brushes off concerns because he's "busy" 3. Every decision that happens at 22Cans requires the PM stamp of approval. 4. PM honestly bought into the hype and thought that nobody would want a pc version because pc is dead.

He knows it is not dead, or he would not have lied to get the PC backers money. Had he called it mobile to start, it would have never been backed. This is where all the deceit has come in from the beginning.

Well.. According to the Kotaku article today anonymous former 22cans employees stated that mobile was always the plan from the get go, it was discussed constantly, even in PC specific meetings, so there's that. Luckily for us, the media has given 22cans an alternative incentive, one I'm sure they'll remember for the rest of their lives. But mobile was part of the plan from the get-go; it was part of the Kickstarter. The initial plan was seamless play between mobile & PC, so of course it would come up in the PC-specific meetings. ... I really like the settlement-squishing. I may be in the minority (I know a bunch of people don't like it), but I think it's great. I hope it gets developed further (into multi-purpose settlements instead of the builder/farmer/miner scheme we have now). I also like the Astari festival song.

I don't hate settlement squishing but I think they should grow organically after the first squish.
Also don't agree with the idea of single professions per settlement and I think balancing on the specialist generation is awful.

Like the city I currently live in, I like(d) the ever persistent, untapped (pun), and underutilized potential of Godus.
