There has been some talk about giving Godus another go, together. The idea is to all play it at the same time and talk about it in the chat or by posting in a thread while we do it. In my opinion posting in a thread (perhaps this thread) would be preferable because that way our findings will be preserved for others to read. Of course the chat room is at the bottom of every page so there is no reason why we couldn't do both.
The best time to do this would be on the coming Saturday the 28th of February. We are looking for a time frame that would suit most people, most likely that would mean starting at around 09:00 USA east coast time (that's 15:00 central European time).
So let's see how many of us are interested to join in the experience!

Unfortunately being on the other side of the world (New Zealand) that will be about 4am plus to boot I'll be out of town. Still I highly recommend going ahead with it and I look forward to reading some interesting blog posts on the forum about the experience. Perhaps some 22cans staff should get in on the act and everyone can play together and blog about it.

So what you're saying is that it would be better to start 4 hours later so people in the far east or down under could also participate? For them that would be Sunday morning while in USA it would be Saturday afternoon and for Europe it would be early Saturday evening. If people from 22cans want to join that'd be swell. Raspofabs, FuriousMoo, mrdrpink and even jackof22cans, you're hereby all invited. And let's not forget our beloved Monkeythumbz and Matthew Allen either.

Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to make it. But sounds like a great idea. If you guys consider face to face chat I've been using this excellent free video conferencing (Free for up to 8 people) website. No logins required, it's pretty cool... appear.in/

We really are a global community group I see. I love that. How many represented countries/continents comprise our ranks? Anyhow, I'd be flexible still on the hours (I'll have to check with/inform the wife, tho). Also, I think it best to avoid video chat -for now - as it may cause some exclusion issues; some may not have webcams, and others prefer anonymity. A streaming chat is likely best and/or blog posting - tho if anyone has any other suggestions, please share.

Nah, I already have episodes of carpal tunnel syndrome and don't have any money for treatment. Though I may watch if someone broadcasts it through steam.

9AM? That's 6AM here...
With any luck, I'll be asleep, though I might stop in for a bit before I go to bed.

I think I could probably go for this, it's been a very long time since I last played. I can't promise I won't get bored and give up within an hour though!
p.s. that's an impressively large number of people tagged.

If someone knew how to edit that together.

I don't really get how the balance file works but should you all use an agreed set of settings.

If someone knew how to edit that together. You quoted yourself, that's so meta. So, either we all start from the very beginning on a new save game (back up your old game files, jic), or someone with a good save point before Weyworld (and appropriately balanced setting for the BFE), shares/uploads it to Steam Workshop, or Dropbox, or some-such, for the group to use so we're all on the same page - at least from that point on. It'd be interesting to see each others play style (or lack of). I was wondering if there was a way to do group streams, through Twitch or Steam or something; like a wall or sidebar of streaming gamers with the ability to switch between them as the main view. Does Twitch, or any other free service, do Multicast Streaming? That would be epic. Of course that would make playing on laptops hard, unless you also have a pc or mobile to watch the streams on, and comment in the chat/forum. I may be getting way ahead and going a bit overboard complicating it. A few streaming players would be nice; I'll look into doing one myself (streaming virgin).

I don't really get how the balance file works but should you all use an agreed set of settings. Maybe, it all depends on if we want to be in sync or each playing a different play through. I vote "YES", but whatever the consensus becomes, I'm game.

I could use a pre weyworld save game and instructions to use it because I lost my progress and I have no desire to repeat the chore that is hubworld.

nice idea and I'll look forward the videos and write ups! I'll have to pass though, partially due to not really wanting to reinstall the game but mainly due to this weekend being my wedding anniversary
