I can join in via thread, though my online hours are -5 hours from this post till +7 hours of this post. Erm, does that mean I can join in or would I be alone? I'm from Australia by the way.
I've been playing in Homeworld and Weyworld, on Android, with all Astari wiped out.

nice idea and I'll look forward the videos and write ups! I'll have to pass though, partially due to not really wanting to reinstall the game but mainly due to this weekend being my wedding anniversary Congrats!

If you're in Australia that means the startingpoint would be somewhere on Sunday morning for you. How are your online hours then?

It is my intention to start from scratch because I haven't played it for so long. I don't intend to use the balance file as i prefer to play as the creators intended. (I may regret this later) However, everyone is free to do as they please of course.

I will be returning from my holiday destination that day. At what time I arrive home could vary greatly depending on traffic. So I couldn't tell you if I can join in.

Maybe we're all to pretty, fair enough, although I'd be interested in seeing lots of people playing from the same start point along side each other, that would be cool. If someone knew how to edit that together. You quoted yourself, that's so meta. So, either we all start from the very beginning on a new save game (back up your old game files, jic), or someone with a good save point before Weyworld (and appropriately balanced setting for the BFE), shares/uploads it to Steam Workshop, or Dropbox, or some-such, for the group to use so we're all on the same page - at least from that point on. It'd be interesting to see each others play style (or lack of). I was wondering if there was a way to do group streams, through Twitch or Steam or something; like a wall or sidebar of streaming gamers with the ability to switch between them as the main view. Does Twitch, or any other free service, do Multicast Streaming? That would be epic. Of course that would make playing on laptops hard, unless you also have a pc or mobile to watch the streams on, and comment in the chat/forum. I may be getting way ahead and going a bit overboard complicating it. A few streaming players would be nice; I'll look into doing one myself (streaming virgin). Maybe I have a dual personality disorder and posted as each persona? What software is there for recording gameplay? I don't mind submitting a recording if anyone fancies doing some nifty editing.

Quick bits of info: Multiple twitch streams can be watched at the same time through multitwitch. You just have to add the name of the twitch stream you want to the end of the url, for example, multitwitch.tv/22cans/basetradetv/imaqtpie would let you watch all three of those streams at the same time. It's pretty easy to set up a quick twitch stream for yourself. I gave it a go just now and it took me maybe 5-10 minutes. If you just want to set up for a quick stream without any frills, this is probably the easiest way to do it. You basically just download the program, make sure you have a twitch account, and then press control-tab in game, click the 'broadcast' button, and it does the rest for you.

Hmm... Could be interesting but not sure I want to add a number to 22Cons install statistics. Might come and watch/make sarcastic and scathing comments though

Good luck with this, Weekend are always busy for me and so I won't be able to make this. Out of curiosity has something changed? The last time I "played" godless was on Android and their wasn't a game. Their was a thing where you levelled lands to build houses (I'm the guy who has never played minecraft but I'm guessing Godless is a poor mans version of that). Then their was the enemy tribe who despite the fact their land was blown up via meteors and swamped to hell to the extent when they celebrated they all got eaten up in the swamp still managed to beet me in popularity contest unless I constantly logged in clicking on a crappy well... If I did win I got 1 man (who normally dies in swamp on way and if he didn't did FA hanging around like the druggies at Frankfurt mainline Station). If I loose, -200men...

We'll see if I can dredge up enough energy to click that install button on the day. Should be able to come watch however. Just think, we'll probably set a record number of people "playing" Godus

Who knows, maybe 22cans will be able to push out an update before our play session. Or perhaps Raspofabs will accidentally break the build and publish it and no one will be able to play.

Cool idea, but I'm out. I have a 3 and a half month old baby boy, so that's pretty much my weekend!

I will be returning from my holiday destination that day. At what time I arrive home could vary greatly depending on traffic. So I couldn't tell you if I can join in. I don't think it'll be a problem for people to join when they're able, if they want. This is mostly to do something to involve the community, while playing and discussing the game in it's most current version. This way we can properly judge the state of the game as a group, as close to real-time as possible. I don't think we've had that level of concurrent discussion of Godus since... I guess when Matthew did his playthrough stream? We certainly haven't had concurrent playing since, probably, v2.0.5 dropped. So, if you get on late, feel free to just jump in. Not sure how long we'll last - could be boredom, carpel fatigue, game/server crashes, rage quitting, nausia, or lack of progress - but it should be interesting to see what happens. I will say that I likely won't play more than 4hrs, though I'm going to try pushing through to at least six. BTW: What branch will the majority of people be playing? I'm not sure what the last update on the Public release is, but the last Opt-in I'm aware of was on February 20th; Opt-In Update #11264
