So much for any of this. Also, having some fun here. (Seriously, prior dev activity posts would get at least one or two posts, but in that subforum? They won't see any, unless one of us meanders out of our subbed threads and makes a snide remark.)

I don't know what they are aiming for but I know where the steam forums are headed => www.22cans.com/forum/

I haven't even looked at the steam forums in... I actually don't know exactly how long. What's the point really. I get better interactivity right here.

Seems the negative posts have been arbitrarily re-assigned to either the "off topic" or "22Cans" sub-forums. Other than the archived dev updates, which for some reason have been put in "22Cans" (as if visitors to the Godus SEA forum front page wouldn't be interested in these?) the contents of these sub-forums are entirely negative posts.
It's far from the worst modding we've seen on the Steam boards but honestly, I don't know why they bother. Godus is surely a lost cause by now. If 22Cans is lacking in resources and pressed for time it should go back to what it was doing before and focus everyone 100% on The Trail. They can stand to get rid of the community/PR team altogether (sorry guys). If the recent bad publicity has taught them anything, it's that there are no actual legal consequences to what they've done with Godus.
Next steps: - Make a notional attempt to fulfil Kickstarter promises, so they can pretend they tried. - Bolt some kind of winning condition into the PC version so they can call it finished and take it out of Early Access (voila, the PC headache is OVER). - Find a bunch of contractors who'll work for cheap at little notice to make holiday-themed art for Godus mobile, so it can keep scraping in gem sales once in a while. Oh, I guess they already did this one! - Ride out the bad-PR storm. The Trail is a mobile game and is very unlikely to be hurt by negative publicity for Godus. The whole thing will be over in a flash anyway, just look at the last shitstorm. It was hailed as the beginning of a bright new era for Godus, but it has now died down and the media doesn't care anymore. All those renewed promises can probably be safely forgotten.

This has been verified as of recent with this thread which - up until the OP asked for it to be deleted (which it was instead locked and moved) - was originally in the main Steam Godus forum and then was moved to the off-topic subforum once it no longer could serve as part of their forum whitewash campaign. steamcommunity.com/app/232810/discussions/0/618457398965689062/The warnings to me are, ironically, for bringing up doubts regarding the new hire and other matters behind the development and production behind the game in context to a thread praising the same topic...the topic where it was revealed that Fabs was leaving. Oh, and I was warned for "spamming" a link to a video in reference context when it was already posted elsewhere on the forums, then warned again - after being expressly invited by a mod to re-post if I didn't post the video again - when I posted a link going to the original posting of the video. Apparently the video shall not be mentioned whatsoever except in approved locations.

We don't have issues playing mod gods here........wink, wink, nod, nod..........get it? Our handles are based from Goa'ulds on Stargate which were supposed to be fake Egyptian gods. Oh, the irony and how very sad it is to be so right. I warned of this back in Alpha when 22cans first picked their "Augurs" on the defunct exclusive backer forum. They did not take any other backer suggestions and picked only those with naive undying love and blind support for 22cans. It would be fine to have one fanboy, but nothing but screams bias and poor unfair moderation like that. The first of so many many many many more mistakes for 22cans to come.

Elysium is nigh. Perfection is at hand. Soon, the 22cans steam mods will have cultivated the exact amount of non-locked threads they are capable of effectively managing. Well done.

I think my favorite part is how many of those have exactly zero posts, as we all suggested would be the case when you add an extra click to reading updates. I'm not in software or UI design, but even I've observed and read enough to know the significance of adding extra hurdles to jump through for info. Just one or two are enough to make people go, "Wtf? Whatever."

They could at least run a decent community operation, but no, they have to be assholes and manipulate the steam forums to bury negative feedback and comments.

Par for the course for 22 cans, they have to know how their behavior is being interpreted, yet they continue to make the same mistakes over and over.
