Don't know if this was actually already posted but FuriousMoo answered some community questions regarding combat design. Once again the video is unfortunately backed by the tedious lullaby music so you'll have to bite through that.

We might be filming another Konrads's Korner video next week. If anyone has any questions about the latest design documents, post them in here and I'll pass the questions along to Konrad.

We might be filming another Konrads's Korner video next week. If anyone has any questions about the latest design documents, post them in here and I'll pass the questions along to Konrad. What will combat be good for? I mean: we have a rather lifeless and boring world ( but full of simulated sand grain ) - what should we do with combat? The way the other tribes are implemented is not really inspiring, and i don't see how combat will change this (which is, most likely, not Konrads fault because those decisions where made by other people).
Maybe it will only be for multiplayer? What's the purpose of combat in this game? Is it only another halfhearted try to fullfill one of the "promises" that where made in the past, or will it lead to other, "meaningfull", design changes in the game? And if yes - which?
I think it's more like standing in middle of an apocalyptic end of the world scenario, volcanic Eruption all about, legs broken by a big rock, bleeding at every limb ... and someone comes around and gives you a handsigned printed Godus artwork.
