My phone (Samsung Galaxy S4) just updated itself from KitKat to Lolipop, I never could get Godus to run before, but with this update I Re-installed it hoping that it would work, and saints be praised it finally opened up for me. My excitement was short lived. The framerate was absolute shit, borderline unplayable, dragging land gesture was hit n' miss when it wanted to work or not, and there where graphic glitches everywhere, those weird square regions from Gmr Leon's screenshots were all over my screen as-well. I didn't even bother playing all the way through the tutorial before switching it off in disgust. Sounds like you ran into my experience in a nutshell, until my persistence led me to reload the app after it crashed. It really is just nuts that that's currently the very first experience for some Android users, then they have the gall to ask for money for anything.engarde/ Spiderweb: do either of you know if it's really optional? I saw some spots where there wasn't a gem tag next to it, but in briefly panning over the map, I didn't see another story chest around the voyage docks (as I'm pretty sure there's one around there on PC), so it led me to also think that they may be paywalled. Well I got the whole story from hunting the blue chests (once all the beacons are unlocked there are more). I'm on iOS.

I don't like spending any more time with the main game than I have to anymore. I like to keep it limited to mucking about with what little editing tools we have and, if it's close enough to the start, whatever's new.

Saying that I just checked and still have 2 story pieces encrypted, it says I have 5 chest in my territory but can not seem to find them which is a little strange. It was easier on PC, but I remember someone reporting chest bugs where they aren't marked. Maybe that's the problem?

Ah just found another, so 1 left and 4 in territory so I think it's definitely fully unlockable!

your unlocking colours graphics made me laugh! And probably given them ideas! Speaking of colours, has anyone seen the easter edition?

Drifting off the main topic but, did you have any custom colors set with your world? I suspect if you go into the files, set it to the originals, you should be able to overwrite the changes without issue.

To be honest, I just gave up after the update, I'm sure it's easy enough to swap out

mindless unlocking colors!!! That's fracking brilliant. I had to stifle a laugh-out-loud at work and almost popped a capillary.

It's not brilliant, it's the work of the devil, pray to whatever God you hold dear, that Molyneux never discovers this thread, because there are 16,777,216 possible colour variations, and I seriously wouldn't put it past him to attempt to monetize every single shade with a gem. p.s. does anyone know what the exchange rate is for Gem's to real world money?

So it is pastel across all worlds. Interesting. It is pronounced ugly. I find the pastel colours poor, and though we got them sans purchase in steam I'd rather I'd have had to choose to get them. As for the egg and chicken heads, you have to zoom in so close to get any sort of definition I wonder if Anna(?) the new artist only works in extreme close up. I'd not realised I had had a new theme applied in steam when I first launched. I thought my video card was on the outs with the pastels.

Newsflash in the you couldn't make it up stakes. So 0.0.27 allows me to open the blue chests, big whoop - not. I can also pay 8 jewels per chest to decrypt decipher them instead... Though it later became 5 so may not not per chest... wait, are you saying they have an option in the mobile version to pay gems to... read the story? That' s not just severely lame, but really terrible. How could anyone be proud at producing this amateurish money-grab? Sorry, you can be proud to have worked on and made "a thing" that is there for the world to see; what I mean is, compared to the thing they promoted to make, this is a laughable monstrosity of a disaster. Molyneux deserves all the ridicule he gets. I would distance myself from it, too. Appears to be optional though my steam game shows 8 chests unfound but I've unlocked all the text - I do find blue chests still (which do no decrease the hidden count) and which have normal payload. Mobile, android, shows 5 unfound but only one left to decipher.
