No clue. I just saw that on the steam forums and checked if its true. To me this seems like they're admitting Godus is more or less just a hobby project that happens to make some money for them on mobile. As soon the Trial gets released, this gets spacebased. If it succeeds until then... great, if not... sucks to be the people who spent money on the game. They're either deceiving us by telling us how everything is fine and how Godus has the full support of 22Cans or they're trying to trick programmers to join up, by promising them they'll be able to work on the real deal if they finish the internship successfully. I suspect it's a bit of both. We talked about that a while back. I'm not sure if it was the same advert or a different one. It's not a good choice of words and paints working on godus as some sort of purgatory that one will be relieved of if they are good.

Considering there's some other project behind, it could be true, and that would make of 22cans I guess, a crap studio... :/

Not if Peter Molyneux is talking. He told a lot of money out of us, But we don't see anything out of it yet except that he's a psychopath and a subsequent swindler.

Not if Peter Molyneux is talking. One of the ultimate reasons, I suspect, for the whole buh-bye to the big Microsoft bucks - PM couldn't really deliver outside of the routine liabilities he created every time he opened his mouth when money was the ultimate goal, even when he had something a bit neat to share. I wonder how much was sunk into the vapourware of Milo...and how badly PM was chasing microtransaction crap even then, as Milo was supposedly going to have. So...Microsoft probably encouraged him to create his own mobile microtransaction shovelware development studio.

We actually are looking for talented folk to join the Godus team If that's the case, then posting position vacancies stating you need people to work on Godus due to the majority of the company moving on to other projects, and then stating that whoever gets the position once familiar with the internal environment can be moved away from Godus to the other project at the earliest feasible time possible as well.... Well let's just say it really isn't doing you any favours for getting 'talented folk to join the Godus team'. You're telling whoever applies that their first task will be a temporary sit-in position for a project classified as 'dead but lingering' until a time where they're deemed up to speed and retrained enough to work on the real thing.

We'll be updating it soon - it's outdated and well.. just poor. Thanks for pointing this out. Godus is far from dead! We've posted a new Community Update detailing what's to come from the next month - Friday Update - June 5th We had a studio play through of the latest version of Combat on Friday:

Maybe in the future one of these playthroughs could be streamed with audio. Small steps first, small steps.

Small steps first, small steps. The time for small steps was in the beginning....the time for refunds is now!

Maybe in the future one of these playthroughs could be streamed with audio. Small steps first, small steps. It is great, along with the much better communication. Much improved, on that front. Now we just need to know where development plans on going...much of anywhere, because "Combat" is at this point - with the rest of the game remaining a mess - basically putting fake tits on a zombie, lipstick on a pig, etc. That is probably what 22cans was looking at in that pic, on the game a programmer had to fight to be reassigned to in order to do...something that we've still not heard much about except for it being used previously as a tease. I've seen Digital Jam and others point out that their playtime was mostly from the earlier times of the game's timers. This screenshot was from about two weeks ago. steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=44859969115 hours? Is that still in the base PC game? Removing the offline progression actually made that, by default, possibly even worse than the mobile (where you could just tell the game to go fuck off until it could offer you more actual gamepl...err, something to do) unless the player edited the timers. Yet offline progression was removed, from how complaints sound it was mostly because of the sloppy implementation of the Astari. This is how the mobile mechanics have made a complete mess of the PC version as well, after the PC version inherited the "mobile-focused sprint" - even the "fixes" for that break other parts of the game unless the player uses what is essentially a developer-issued trainer program to make their own game playable.

I want to start a thread about alternatives to the combat only focus but supposed to be working right now.

I want to start a thread about alternatives to the combat only focus but supposed to be working right now. I think I'm psychic or something, and predict that most of the posts in that thread will generally involve the redesign of the "PC game" to become something a bit more appropriate. Removal of microtransaction mechanics, an actual resource system, and something more than paywall hurdles over a map or two (which includes more eras as per even the Google Play store page!) while you run through more paywall hurdles in a mini-game often fouled by the pathfinding. These were all things that I was led to believe were NOT in the PC version by the state of the game when it started upon Early Access for me to later wishlist it (Dec '13). I looked again recently and saw... *atomic facepalm*
