So, assuming Godus' development proceeds at its current pace, everyone here is in for the extended wait till fall to see any of the new management's more meaningful direction come into play, right? Given the recent announcement, unless something appears at the end of this month, I'm imagining we won't see much come around till end of July/early August, like last year. Not that I mind at this point, but I'm curious as to what others' expectations are surrounding this.
I honestly don't foresee too much coming around this year at all from 22cans (regarding Godus, at least) unless the new management really kicks things into a proper pace.

And don't they look enthused and engaged about it... Their body language suggests to me they'd rather be anywhere else other than in that room... Sheesh, it's only a still photograph... what were you expecting, this?

I expect combat (what ever gets done) by the end of this year, then the Trial announcement and Godus spacebase. Not necessarily in that order.

Sheesh, it's only a still photograph... what were you expecting, this? I expect to see a feeling of interaction and engagement with what's being presented. If people who are working on something look as if they can't be arsed then why the hell should anyone else?

I think combat will surprise on the upside (be better than we expect) but the issues with the rest of the game will remain. Finishing combat in July/August isn't awful (we've learned to be patient) but I'm worried they'll go into another similar dev period after that which is a problem. I think multiplayer will dissappointment with hosted games like the original release focusing on combat rather than the hubworld/Jupiter concept promised. As per my other thread I think multiple smaller changes in parallel should be a priority.

My expectations are low so combat is bound to improve the game somewhat. As combat is not really something that I wanted I have not formed an idea about how it might turn out. It is possible that the team have come up with ideas that surprise me and turn out to be enjoyable.
But what I really want is GODPOWERS!!! :-@

But i don't think that there will be anything they do that exceeds my expectations from 2012.

It's interesting how this forum has more activity than the Official forum, and yet even here we have periods of low participation where active discussion lulls. I often wonder what things would be like for the state of both the game and 22cans if this forum hadn't been so active in keeping the community going, and holding the studio to task.
Kudos for not giving in and giving up. Keep fighting the good fight.

Sheesh, it's only a still photograph... what were you expecting, this? What, the look of PC customers when they finally see something that resembles a PC game that really does take into consideration the feedback of the community? That would be a tall order, mister. Something like that would even give the developers reason to actually look interested and engaged rather than watching lipstick be put on several elephants in the room.

Maybe activity is due to a combination of: Good, community spirit and more freedom to go "off topic" without it getting hidden, and easier to view recent posts (than steam)? More mature discussions without trolling or flaming?

I like: Gifs,
Making sure things are being done,
When our community are happy.
I don't like: That developer commentary...

That is no way to refer to Simon.. Also, we're going to have to do a montage of jumping pictures now.

You mean the comeback you've not played attachment to the *update* over the weekend did not suck you in on mobile. By update I mean the two new options for 1) free gems 2) free time - whatever that is supposed to be for - if you stop playing and watch a video... seriously...

Android got an update over the weekend to version 0.0.29. Might have been earlier in the week but I happened to update my play store last night. Complete with the update I had two nag/notification messages asking me to come back to godus. In terms of the actual update I've got two additional options attached to the store button. Which are detailed as free, with one giving me 2 gems the other giving 4 hours of boosted building. So by selecting them you are asked if you want to watch a video, so taking you out of the game...
I can see no additional in game changes so I've been stalled from expanding on mobile and main steam thread since what March?

2 gems? Seriously? That's just sad. What's the video about?
