I wonder if they are going to allow a modding community similar to Minecraft. I'm going to take a wild guess and say that they will be introducing a monetization plan for different sets/pieces/mini-figs in the future... which is fair I suppose... but I'd rather buy my kids real Lego, or just take advantage of the incredible modding scene on Minecraft right now. Hopefully they make good choices and don't end up making it some kind of Amiibo/Skylander/Disney Infinity "toy" game. Fool me once.

I should say, my kids have thoroughly enjoyed previous Tt games, especially the Avengers title. It was fantastic.

I'd hate to see it killed by over-monitization. EDITED: According to the forums; Will it have Mod Support?

Got to say I've enjoyed most of the Lego film tie-in games I've played, never got into mine craft, but my son is now at the perfect age from moving onto standard Lego plus loves the iPad, so I got the games on that again. I wonder how long till there is a iPad version.

This. Is. So. Freaking. Awesome! I also had a very similiar idea about such a Lego game but never was speaking about it openly, Lord Ba'al. Funny how certain mindsets overlap... So, just "Yes", guys. *Nostalgia*

I think maybe we've all thought of a game like this at one point. This what happens when we don't act on our dreams. So we should start a subforum and start making things. Don't feel too bad, tho, they've been working on this game for some time now. But at least you called it, and are on record practically predicted it. Quick, what are the lottery numbers? This. Is. So. Freaking. Awesome! I also had a very similiar idea about such a Lego game but never was speaking about it openly, Lord Ba'al. Funny how certain mindsets overlap... So, just "Yes", guys. *Nostalgia* I'm really interested in this. I have been avoiding buying other early access games, because of recent disappointments, but this is LEGO. I have to support them, as a card carrying Builders Club member. ;D

Ok. I had to buy it. I...I couldn't resist, it's a must have for every Lego fan.(I'm trying to justify the decision to myself). Granted, one has to get used to the controls with keyboard and mouse, also the game is not finished yet, but there's already a lot of content, I would say. ( ignoring the fear of monetization btw) I have to admit that I actually can't (don't want to) recommend early access titles to others which may be a somehow different person ( I'm just too patient, you know.) But, holy moly : It's awesome! Nothing more to add. Here a screenie: Edit: Here's the Wiki, for those who are interested in the current content.

There's also this wiki...because early game days. Then there's this neat little forum where some people are already picking the game apart to find ways to mod the game and some unused stuff for it.

I'd 2nd a vote for a lego world subforums, even though I've not brought it yet. Let's see how much interest there is. If we're going to have a Lego Worlds subforum I shall probably have to create an Other Games section and put it in there, otherwise the main page is going to get cluttered real soon.

Can't find the Lego Worlds Subforum ... Is that a request? Yes. The game looks promising. I have to buy it anyway - my kids are LEGO and Minecraft enthusiasts, so no chance to not at least have a look on it.
But you are right let's see how much interest there is and how the game develops.

Edit: oh and its free! ldd.lego.com/en-gb/downloadI've had that for about a year now, maybe more. It's cool, but the interface leaves much to be desired, and navigating the parts catalogue could be better. But the fact that they have designed the game to allow importing from a designated design software is fantastic.

This design software for creating elements that can be imported in games is actually another idea I've been walking around with. But who's gonna believe me now.

Hm. I haven't tried the LDD yet. Still messing around with the gameplay and endeavouring not to go crazy because of the somewhat annoying controls. And really cool. There's already a contest!
