Valkyria Chronicles is on sale. I remember thoroughly enjoying the gameplay and art style on the PS3. Obviously a dated game and not sure how it compares on PC, but it tugged at a heart-string when I saw it.  From what I've read, it's a pretty good port (believe it or not, Sega does an okay job on the PC front), and the PC version is even better (because you probably already have a PC if you're here) due to decreased load times. Personally, I never noticed them in my time playing it on PS3, but hey, lower load times are lower load times, and you can't beat that. Speaking of, if you're after a fun, interesting third-person shooter, might keep an eye out for Binary Domain. It tends to go on sale fairly often and has some of the best enemy destruction animations you can probably find in a game (fighting robots with chunks of their armor flying off as you take them down to the point of dismemberment). |

Couldn't restrain myself and got Grey Goo. But hey, it's Westwood, right? I got that too. It looks like an interesting RTS. I had never heard of it until I was listening to TotalBiscuit's podcast, and locked it into the back of my mind... totally forgetting about it until I saw it on the sale. |
