The Universim KickstarterBy Omar KhanA Kickstarter campaign has been launched for a rather impressive looking game from San Diego based studio Crytivo Games. The Universim hopes to raise a total of $320,000 for their project. The game treads in the planet management genre, taking the standard formula and introducing an organic world for the player in which to interact. The simulation emphasis is on the planet itself, not its inhabitants, meaning the game plays more like From Dust rather than SimCity. Like some of the best sandbox games, the world will develop and thrive without your guiding hand. However, if two cities decide to go to war, you can choose to intervene, or sit back and watch events unfold. This natural chain of events is made possibly by the in-game engine Prometheus. The final product of The Universim hopes to boast an impressive list of features including dynamic season changes and an entire universe full of colonize-able planets to traverse. You can also show your support by voting for The Universim on Steam Greenlight.
