The Universim Gets New Gameplay VideoBy Jamie FelthamIt’s been almost two months now since Crytivo Games successfully completed its Kickstarter funding campaign for its upcoming god simulation title, The Universim. Since then the developer has kept funding open via its official website, but hasn’t offered too many more details about the project, which the team is ‘immensely interested’ in integrating with the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) headset and other VR devices. Now a new video for the title has been revealed, providing another glimpse at gameplay. The video, which can be seen below, clocks in at two minutes and 40 seconds in length, giving us a look at everything from the title’s menu interface to how players can expect to scroll around the minature planets they they will be looking after. There’s also a glimpse at the different types of settlements that planet’s inhabitents will set up, as well as hints at some of the weather effects the title will incorportate. Crytivo Games intends to launch The Universim on PC, Mac and Linux in October 2015. The developer is also hoping to add more to the title as its overall funding for the project increases. At the time of writing the team has raised $409,505 USD towards development. VRFocus will continue to follow The Universim, reporting back with any more updates on the title’s progress.
