I made a chart in which I compare the popularity and patch releases of Godus with that of other early access / indie games. I used Steam charts as source ( steamcharts.com/ ). It also contains the (user-based) metacritic rating and number of ratings. On top of that I calculated how many players were active in the last 24 hours compared to the all-time-peak. (check out godus percentage!) Its not updated for Patch 2.05 yet. I will wait a few days so we can see which effect 2.05 had on popularity. (so far there isn't any noticeably raise, most likely because 2.05 wasn't announced ahead of time)EDIT: I updated the chart. I listed 2.05 and i added the DLC updates of don't starve highlighted in orange. In case this board requires you to log in to view attachments, you can also view the chart here: i.imgur.com/NgFAthp.jpgAttachments:

Gob how I love Prison Architect. I actually bought it because of the update videos rather than the gameplay. They are quality.
(Game is fun too, in a weird but lovable way)
Don't Starve is fabulous, and Kerbal Space Program deserves love.
Sorry for derail..

I had pointed this out on the steam forums, but I feel it is worth mentioning here too. The chart is actually wrong by a factor of 10 on the godus players, it's sitting at about 3%, not 0.3%. It's still very poor compared to the other games, but it's not quite as abysmal as it is made out to be.

That is your second defensive/positive comment about Godus on this forum.
Who are you? And what have you done with the real rubgish?

My post wrt stickers wasn't intended to be positive, it's just that *technically* peter was correct when he said 5 stickers or less; it certainly doesn't mean I like the stickers mechanic (we can all think of a dozen ways to do it better). Similarly with this one, the first set of data was not technically correct, but that doesn't mean I disagree with the point it is making. Even with the change up to 3% it's still almost another factor of 10 away from being on a par with these other games.

Great to see you replying to our threads!
Do you think you could get the team to seriously address the concerns about this being a mobile game for the PC, rather than a PC game for the mobile. Have a look at the thread of Kickstarter key quotes, and you will see just how clear they were back in November 2012 about the fact this would be a quality PC game.
I know one user recommended you made public your Godus steam play time, I don't think that is the most helpful thing to do given you are joining the journey here, and so can't really put in the hours some of the backers have: 250+ and what a waste of time that would be! What might be worth while is watching some [emphasise some] of the first Kickstarter videos in the order the were released, then you can see why so many of us could be accused of being bitter, you would see what we saw, and experience Peter promising us the world to get our [financial] support. Perhaps you have already done this?
[NB I defended you and 22cans in a post asking why there has been no reply recently: I pointed out that it was the w/e. They now think I'm a mole... don't tell anyone, I'll have to be more negative, or go underground...]

You are right. I updated the chart, I also listed 2.05 and added the DLC release/updates of don't starve. I also added a beautiful quote of peter molyneux on the bottom of the chart. By the way, since the first chart the metacritic rating went down from 1.3 to an even 1.0By the way, prison architect reached a new all-time-peak after the latest patch (alpha 20) of 9.900 players. Higher than Godus all-time-peak now. However I hadn't updated Prison Architect in my chart - because of the new maximum number the graph changed drastically so updating it would be to much effort for me atm. Also I counted the number of posters and posts created in the last 24 hours on the steam board. I quote my Post from the steam Board: You can view the word-clouds here if you aren't logged in: i.imgur.com/bMnfIb3.pngAttachments:

Added it together with muirs cloud. Maybe next. First I want to do a cloud of AMA/answers on reddit and the kickstarter / early access pages. :) Some words I found interesting (or rather telling) in each cloud: Thread-titles:Kickstarter, crashes, tutorial, bug, wheat, bubble George: deliver, delivering, want, time, rules, changes, comming, soon, council matthew: time, around, workaround, positive, mentioned, trying, work, working... Oh, and how big feedback and especially community are compared to the rest. He surely loves to emphasize how important our feedback and the community is... community posts:stickers, mobile, pc, ressource, ressources, feedback, progression, change, belief, settlements, strategy mrDrPink:eta, free, questions, answers, hopefully, yet, working muir:time, devs, bug, please, constructive, team... I think its quite telling. It shows what the community talks about and what the CMs talk about and its quite different. Matthew was once upset when I said that most of his posts were just marketing spin, but I think these clouds support that statement. Multiple bold/big words in the community and thread clouds don't appear at all in the matthew/george cloud. Community and Feedback however are the biggest words. I only used his recent posts, his older posts were even worst in that regard imo. Attachments:

Now if we could get the app what-would-i-say.com/ to process those posts we would have the next update before 22Cans has it.

They were too big while at the same not being very interesting (in my opinion) as they are probably just so big because they are often used to begin a sentence etc. I also make use of the "automatically remove common english words" function from the site. I uploaded the same cloud without removing any words: Attachments:

Notice you can make "in that game" "and you is a" from that last cloud.
