I had an update request for JAVA. No biggie, do em all the time. Sooooo, I go to do it and frakin Chrome is no longer supporting it, or Silverlight and a few others my non computer programming brain does not recall. So, I go to their "enable NPAPI" on my Chrome and it all seemed kosher but now my Flash is crashing constantly. I am a bit tweaked that Google would do this. I have a ton of scripts I use for my online work many need my NPAPI stuff! Should I chuck Chrome? Firefox is not as user friendly for some of my work sites either. Frak me, I hate you Google. Don't you have enough frakin money and power already? www.theregister.co.uk/2015/04/14/google_java_chrome_42/Anyone know a better work around for this? Can I use an older Chrome, if so, how do I get an old Chrome and will that have adverse side effects. In my gut, I know this is about cash for Google in some way and I am just steaming over it. I was already pissed by their refusing to turn off Geo-locating on search.

Yes, but many scripts I need won't run on FF and several companies won't either. So, I really hope there is a good work around.

Or internet exploder. I think you should ban yourself for a month from the forums for even suggesting such a thing as much as it pains me to say it, if your running windows 10, microsofts edge browser is actually somewhat capable, its not pure evil, even though it is the spawn of the devil ( now excuse me while i go throw up somewhere)

I had this problem with my pitney bowes for work when 7 first came out. I called and was told, it was not their problem and to use another OS till a patch was developed. This and Google's claim it is a safety concern. Interestingly, Oracle and Google had a lawsuit going, wonder if that changes at some point if JAVA will seem "safe" again. Ironically, I have more problems on Chrome when this hit fat before I manually enabled my NPAPI. I guess, I will continue to use Chrome when required and FF when not. I am not loving Google.

I still run IE 9 for those few times.
