I love this game. that's right, I said it. I said it on the steam forums and I'll say it again here.
Despite all the fuss here and all the bad ratings on steam, I love it, and I have hopes for it for as far as a socially anxious recluse could.
I'm not under obligation or sponsorship or what have you, either. I honestly and truly love the game you guys made.
Go ahead and lock this topic or ramble on amongst yourselves here, I'm going to go enjoy Godus to whatever capacity it is now, because I like this game and I love playing games in my spare time. That's all I want.

Sorry anyone made you feel like you couldn't express that you love this game. There's nothing wrong with liking it. IMO, people on the Steam forums are too quick to jump to the conclusion that anyone supportive of Godus is a "sockpuppet". That is an unhelpful attitude. Frankly, I do not believe that anyone at the 22Cans studio can be arsed with creating a million sockpuppets on the Steam boards on the off-chance it would make a difference.
You have to understand though, there is a lot of history behind people NOT loving this game. This game was funded by a Kickstarter campaign which was built on broken promises. The Early Access advertising has been just as misleading. Some members of the community have been involved since 2013 and have suffered through many lies and broken promises from 22Cans regarding what Godus is going to be. There is so much bad blood here, I won't go into it. Just read the boards if you want to understand what has been going on.
It's great you love Godus. It is a game built using the money of people who were lied to and taken advantage of. So it is nice someone is happy with the outcome.

I have read all that on this forum and it's quite disgusting, i'll admit. If anything, you could probably accuse me of liking and enjoying something made of lies. I won't dispute that. I bought it without knowing all this.
This is also why i never got into this whole Kickstarter BS. My principle is, you have to put it on the shelf/release it before i give you my money.
For the people that do Kickstarter that see this, No, i'm not calling you an idiot. It's your money. You have the same right to it as i do and i understand entirely why your pissed, i would be too, but i, like most people, like to enjoy things they buy. Even if it fell short.

There's nothing wrong with enjoying the game; it's called free will and your opinion, and that's a great thing. You are more than welcome to come here and share your views on it.

I'd also appreciate if I could be left out of any movements or involvements with the whole ordeal that seems to be stinking up the place. Since my steam post seems to be the catalyst of a movement.

I've said this before, I liked the concept, I liked the sculpting aspect, I liked the cutesy art.
I didn't like the paywalls and the hash made to keep them in for mobile and concept of the pit to get around that for PC folk. I don't like the beacons and the restrictions made by having them. I don't really like stickers and I dislike very much the resources system.
I won't ask for a refund even if I could get one purely because I think I got my £15 pounds worth of game (there are plenty that cost more and are a lot worse). Others like kickstarters will obviously feel more aggrieved than I due to more broken promises. I have disappointment in way 22cans promise community involvement then tell us to suck it and see.
I don't feel the hate for 22cans or PM, they tried and as it stands currently they have failed. If they can turn it around then that is great, if I play it some more then great, if it dies out then fine, I can walk away £15 gamble lost.
One other positive I will take from Godus, is this forum and the great\diverse people I have encountered here.

...Go ahead and lock this topic or ramble on amongst yourselves here... Not all boards are run to the same tune of 22 cans, threads rarely get locked, or unnecessarily censored around here

I have no problem with people loving any game. Heck, I once got sucked into Farmville itself. I am one of the Alpha Backers that was decieved, so my biggest problem with 22cans is simply DECEIT.
Then came the censorship and other mind games, being called a bully and on, and on, and on I could kick that horse. All this but, yes it is fine that some people love the game. There is a reason Zinga and Candy Crush are what they are. We all have different tastes. I backed as a gift my BF at time (Ba'al) so I was a bit extra upset to see a gift not be what it represented itself as.
I did meet all you fine folks from it, so I will give it that. All are welcome here.
