I figured i'd put it here because it's quite a serious topic and i'd like to talk seriously about this.
I frequently throw around that i have this, and it's quite a hassle to live with. You get the ability to randomly be scared (literally) shitless for completely random things. In fact, i could list off a few things recently that scared me, and aren't really an issue.
One of them is Drake's legal adventure. I somehow thought up that i'd be involved in it... and i can't see why... the only thing i'm involved in is his banning....
I've also developed the paranoia that people are entirely capable of making your life hell, just because they feel like it. I'm not pointing specifically at Drake here, i really think he's set out his own. It's generally something i've convinced myself of that everybody on the planet is going to do to me. Yes, probably even my mate.
Usually, i put on a facade that i don't care and that i'm emotionless. In fact, most people online that i've met think that. I do care and i don't care at the same time. Yes, it's not fun at all. I also envy robots for the fact that they can't care, and i've even gone to the extent to admit i'm a robo... the robotic version of a furry. I don't want to be human. I want to be a robot.... possibly with complex malfunctioning emotions.
However, with all these struggles, comes scars and with scars you get wisdom. I've also apparently been gifted selective wisdom, which i believe comes from my long departed and very dear grandfather, who i only saw for a quarter of my life. It's quite spooky. I'll randomly get haiku's that pop into my head that are actually related to what i'm doing or having problems with. I also belive he lets me help others with this weird ability.
I know it's an ability, because i realized this at 20... way too young to be wise to anything.

I'm also taking medication that helps me be "mentally conscious" when i panic. It knocks me out dead tired within an hour or so, though.

Well at least you're aware of it and very open about it. I think that's a healthy attitude.

Thank you. One of my dreams is to have people aware of "us" and have them know how to handle "us".

I'd say mostly that i'd worry alot about things. I tend to talk alot when i get in a panic, so you'll know.
My low post count is actually a good sign for me.

It's generally something i've convinced myself of that everybody on the planet is going to do to me. Yes, probably even my mate. Interesting fact is that my schizophrenia tells me the exact same thing - for example, that I'll get sucked dry by girls and left for dead, which is why I'm too picky in relationships. And not just special relationships. ANY relationships. I'm unable to work well with my own emotions as well - another trait of schizophrenia, low emotional intellect. Wait. Is the reason in the limbic system? Then your own inability to keep up with your own emotions can be the reason of the fear of social interaction, which is dependent on non-verbal communication based on emotions. I know! Did you ever try coping? The magical phrase "I'll think about it tomorrow" can work miracles.

I've just read on that and it looks like i'm already doing the positive one. I love making fun of things i worry about. Though it's often self degrading humor.
I sometimes mumble counter points to myself to what i'm worrying, like "Jeeze, the ego on you. Everybody is out to get you. As if."
I also play it out sometimes to plan ahead as well.
Huh, looks like i'm actually doing well... never would have thought, actually...and it often ends out that i "facepalm" randomly somtimes.

I have been fighting off panic attacks for years. I wish there was a pill I could take to remove them. Mostly I use knowledge of what they are and determination to fight through them.

Some of them help you remove them, but they never go away.

Humor is positibe coping, dismissal of the problem instead of getting to its core is self-bullying. So the best thing you can do to solve your problems is dreaming about them. Just think about them before you sleep and just cut the line of thought. Then you will keep thinking of it subconsciously and will even dream about it.

Dreaming? Sounds kind of dangerous.... if you don't know how to make them lucid that is...

The really tricky thing about fear is that fear can influence how you reason, alter your logic. So when in a state of fear, your logic will be used against you, coming up with all sorts of reasons for why your fear is entirely justified. And that logic is often trusted. One major tool to use is to take subjects that you know can trigger these fears, and to think logically about them when not in a state of fear. Write down what your logic tells you about these subjects during a calm state of mind, and re-read what you wrote when the fear sets in. Then you'll have a pre-made logical reasoning to follow instead of the logic you create while in a state of fear. And always remind yourself that your brain is lying to you during these moments of fear, until it becomes second nature to remind yourself of that. That's just one of the many tools you can use for dealing with fears. If you want more tools, let me know.

Dreaming? Sounds kind of dangerous.... if you don't know how to make them lucid that is... non-lucid dreams are actually much better for your health. It's the process that implements psychological barriers and solves problems that your subconscious finds important. And I mean "problems" in management sense, like textbook problems, not trouble. Also you must remember that any kind of activity including dreams and sleeping in generals is actual adaptive activity as long as you don't barge without knowing what you're doing.

What about nightmares?

Post by morsealworth on Aug 24, 2015 14:44:08 GMT
Nightmares are problems that has not been solved due to the lack of information yet urgent. That's the reason we often remember them - their urgency, the need to solve the problem while awake.
