Hey people. I know that Qetesh is playing Stonehearth and she would like to have a topic for it. I also do. So I thought it would be time to start one. I preordered it may last year, I think and I'm actually really happy about it and the development. The team around radiant seems to be very open and also the progression was and is really good. For those who want to follow it here's the link. Honestly I wasn't playing/testing it very frequently due to other things which have to be done and other games I wanted to play meanwhile. So what is Stonehearth? Stonehearth, for those who don't know, is pretty much a voxel based sandbox game where you have to build a town for you citizens, the Hearthlings. You have to assign them to jobs and build workshops to be able to produce the things they need, like food, furniture, weapons, tools and other stuff. As for every sandbox game I've ever played and fallen alove with, it actually is nothing more than just a massive waste of time. Yeah, sounds strange, but in respect to Minecraft which is a really cool game nevertheless, what else it is than a time waster? But damn I just love to build things, so I have to love Stonehearth! After two weeks or so I finally managed it to build a bridge! ( I love bridges!) Building things is not as easy as I want them to be. You can build custom things, like dining rooms or sleeping quarters, but that's not my style. I want to create my own stuff, but there seem to be rules for building and I haven't find them out right now, at least not all of them... So far...

That is pretty cool. Is it a functional bridge and by that I mean have your people use it to cross the valley?
Also have they implemented mining yet? I know they were working on it.

Sorry hardly for the wait, but I wasn't sure if the guys would use the bridge without any problems. The AI still needs some love, heh, as always. So I tried it this morning and, yeah, they are using the bridge. Without any bed they are also sleeping on it, hah! And mining is implemented. You also can dig layer by layer and thus shape the landscape as it pleases you. Radiant also implemented a blacksmith. You are able to mine for different ores which the blacksmith needs to craft weapons, armor and some tools.

That is cool. I'll have to give this game a try at some point.

I finally pick this up. Had a few issues at first figuring things out. But once you get the hang of it, it is not bad.

I'm still waiting for Stonehearth to be discounted. I mean REALLY discounted. Not like 18 pounds instead of 19 pounds, that's not a discount, that's a joke.
