Maybe @colin2cans can clarify this for us. Sorry, we've already received our communication for the month. Try again in November.

How is a quick, "Dave has ...." left 22cans/changed roles/practicing being quiet - not a simple and useful piece of information.
Is it going to cause a problem in the community, no offense to Dave but I doubt it, we're use to people leaving 22cans, as long as its not another developer I have no complaints, but sad if Dave left and couldn't say goodbye like GK and Matthew got to.

If he has left employment with 22 cans, then they may have decided to leave it up to him if he wishes to announce his departure here.
As his last known activity was around the time when all the mass banning outrage was in full effect, one could draw the conclusion that maybe he got canned because of that situation, if that is indeed the case, then I would speculate that his silence may be down to resentment against some of us for causing him to lose his job.

I doubt that was the reason. He was acting up in the role of community manager (by acting up I mean he had a more junior job and they asked him to fulfil additional duties) and this became superfluous when Colin arrived. So most likely he left because he was feeling under utilised once Colin was on the scene.
I don't bear the guy any ill will but I do think he did a massive disservice to himself by neither defending his actions nor revoking them until Colin/Simon turned up. That inflamed the situation considerably and made it hard for him to do his job.

So they're still staying mum on the whereabouts of Dave, apparently? Interesting.

I doubt he's doing anything community-related if he's still at the studio. There's not much of a 'community' to manage at this point. Disengagement and lack of game updates from 22Cans means the community is reduced to the longstanding users (us) waiting for news, and the occasional confused new player struggling with game mechanics or bugs.
Look at where we are now. Godus is a clunky, rapidly aging, poorly-reviewed game from 2013. PC Godus is making very little money. Recurring press interest due to Peter Molyneux's disastrous PR is probably the only reason anyone at the studio is bothering to continue to support it at all, and only then it's because they'll be mulling over how it might reflect on The Trail.
I wish Dave luck in whatever he's up to these days. Perhaps he has migrated from a CM role to a technical role within the company.

I wonder why it's so difficult to get the confirmation that Dave no longer works for 22cans. It is quite obvious.

Could someone make a topic regarding this over on Steam? It worked for the "Update" skulduggery a while back, have a feeling it'll work now.

If you phrase it to the effect of "Does this community still have a community manager?", I'm sure it'd last that much longer. Putting it in the main section would give it much-needed visibility and somewhat diminish their ability to ignore it.

I'm trying not to get banned. Can never be too careful.
And yeah, I suppose I could've posted it in the main forum (since I personally think it should go there), but I think we can all agree it wouldn't last very long there.

I'll be honest, I don't expect to get a reply. Ever. Should of said "Who is the Godus CM". Its on topic for general discussion and is relevant in that forum, I don't see how asking can result in a ban, its a simple question. Maybe if I can be bothered I'll post it there. I was the one asking the question in the OP I guess.

Why is anyone bothered? The game is abandoned, the community hardly needs any 'managing'.
