I just noticed this post over on the steam forum by totallyTim ( Community Herald: Volume One - The introduction (Year 3, Week 46) link) Unfortunatly I am unable to comment in that thread because of how they have locked down the forum, but I just wanted to lament the fact that the community are doing a much better and more efficient job of getting information out than 22 cans are capable of doing, that an unpaid guy with no connection to the company can put out informative updates of a higher quality, than we are used to getting from any official channel. Really goes to show how little effort the cans are putting into this project, maybe if we weren't here to keep reminding them that Godus is actually a thing, they might already have forgotten about it by now. How can one company fail so consistently and regularly, it's almost like they are just trolling us now for the lolz.

22Cans should hire Tim as their new community manager. He's managed to write up a more concise, relevant community update than any CM who has come before him, refreshingly bereft of lies and puffery.

I wonder how long he'll be able to keep it up. How long he'd be able to keep up what; having enough things to post, or not become corrupted by 22Cans puffery?

if you don't own a copy of the PC game, then your posting rights have been removed, its view only

From what i can tell the differences between the pc and mobile version hardly justify a purchase at this time. I have the mobile version so i already consider myself a customer even if apparently 22 cans do not. I also don't believe in the concept that you have to own a copy of the game to hold an opinion about it, or the company developing it. I've been here since the kickstarter, and am delaying my purchase, until such time as the game to start looking more like the vision that was pitched originally. At the moment it's a pale shadow of what it could/should be, when it gets good I may jump in. Though that would require deistic levels of turn around from this company to offset all the ill will that has been generated thus far, and would need to sway away my suspicions of fraudulent/scammy behavior that have been evidenced so far, basically i'm waiting for a miracle. I wish that Godus would become a real PC game

I wonder how long he'll be able to keep it up. I wonder why Colin 'liked' this post. Colin, if you are also concerned about Tim running out of material, maybe you could provide some? You are probably in just as good a position to provide a 22Cans update as he is. Perhaps better!

Colin's getting a kick out of the fact that we're keeping up the idea of Godus becoming anything, more than even 22cans is, and for that matter, he's either submitted his notice already or is chuckling because he's working more on The Trail than Godus and so knows how much of a folly Tim's efforts are. However, to admit this would be to muck up 22cans' name even more, so instead he gives this little nod for us to spin any which way we like. Incidentally, since the air's toxic, courtesy of 22cans doing nothing to filter it, he should anticipate that any such spin is going to be little more than cynical, pessimistic toxic whirlwinds that impotently seek something to affect, but the dream's dead folks, and they killed it. But you know, it was really us and our lack of vision, not them. Never them.

Obviously 22cans needs to put out more information (long term as well as short term) and start demonstrating results. Present levels of progress are just silly.

Frankly, I do too, but hey, if I didn't get around to saying something like that, someone else presumably would have. =P

Its clear they are not really invested or concerned. They've all but admitted its not a priority, and its nothing but a ham on a string at this point; slowly rotting and festering, attracting flies, growing tasteless and tough, losing all its value - they're just letting poor suckers - like starved rats nibbling on scraps - take little, horrible bits off (for a price) despite the warnings of others, and likely hoping either it just falls apart on its own or a bear snatches it away during the night. Until then, they'll keep mum about its condition, and maintain the charade to get whatever they can from it.
