Why is Steam or anyone doing anything about the Hindenberg disaster that is Godus?
Is it because it playable and a mediocre game? Is it because its "not released yet"? Is it because not enough people bought or participated for anyone of worth to notice it? Is it because we get a scrap of content every 6 months or so? Is it because Gaben and Peter have a secret pact or something?
Every year people do a story on Godus how its bad, but thats it, no investigation, nothing of substance happens. 2 months later 22don't is back to regular scheduled programing.
I don't understand how at this point no one has taken any action, its been what? 3 or 4 years? All that times and a revamp and mobile release and its worse then the alpha.
Will we ever see justice done? I mean at what point do you just erase it from your steam account and lose all hope? Steam has removed games before, why doesn't it actually look at this one and go, you have 6 months, release what your gonna release, if you don't or if its a disaster, your off Steam? Is it because they lose money? I mean seriously how much could they even profit from a game like Godus at this point, less then 100 people were playing it on average the last time I checked. The sales figures can't be too far off from it.
How is the 22don't even still operating at this point? Is Peter the one paying for everything? Are the mobile microtranactions keeping them floating? Is it the Dena contract? Apple? Google? How is it even possible for them to do nothing for all this time, and not have any negative effect on them as a company? Honestly I feel like its 10% actual work 20% brain storming 20% worrying about what Peter thinks 50% vacation. What do they do over there? I can't find another explanation. Is it the beTrail? I honestly don't think a mobile "creative walking simulator" app is gonna save them. This whole situation just baffles me. If I was at that company, I would probably be panicking, working overtime not taking a vacation, trying to get some content out there before releasing something "new". What does 22don't expect will happen? "Let release a completely new time waster, call it creative perspective app, so people can reflect on their life and calm themselfves with a simple app. People love those game where you just walk around looking at pretty scenery." Don't they realize that fad had died? People have gotten wise to the walking simulators. Honestly I'd like to know they master plan or is it just a day to day thing?
Will we ever get anything even remotely resemling a real game or atleast a good time waster god game? I almost lost all hope, Konrad can do this by himself, the Trail is gonna be a flop, what then? Will 22don't close up shop, release Godus 3.0 and file for backrupsy? Will Steam offer refunds then? Probably not. Atleast not until the whole media circus gets involved again, even then, will it be enough? (sorry for english, its not my first language.)
