I have found myself in possession of a surplus game key for Stardocks new game "Ashes of the singularity", unfortunately I do not know of anyone that would like it, and it seams a shame to just let a good game key go to waste, so I'm just going to give it away. For more info about the game check out the steam store, or their official websiteSo what do you have to do to win this game? RulesJust make a post inside this thread, saying something about Godus and/or 22 cans, it can be an honest review, a scathing criticism, a funny image, a Haiku, whatever you want, you just need to make it interesting, because the winner will be decided by whoever has received the most likes by next Friday (cut off 18th Dec @ 12:00 GMT) I will then PM the winner with the steam key.

I am waiting for the new combat release for Godus. I will admit that I am one of those that wanted more populous type combat in the game and look forward to see what they pull off with it.

Where is Godus, Simon? I see all your stupid tweets. Molyneux lied, mate.

You have a like too!
I like the sound of the game from watching that video but as it is generally not my type of genre and because my computer won't be able to run it anyway I am hereby forbidding you all to like my post.

What kind of a torture is that? First, you just have to remind me of the most regrettable venture I ever did, and then you promise me the chance of getting something I'll not be able to get my hands on until it loses all of its actuality? Not to mention that the hope is certainly false since I forgot how to be funny. You surely know how to toy with man's heart. Though I still don't swing that way. ...Wait, isn't that how mobile games work in the first place?

I gave you a like out of pity. Enjoy. Though I'm not sure if my likes should count towards the total. Unfair bias and all.

Oh, now pity added. Critical combo. On topic though, I think your opinion must count, as the whole things is your personal caprice. If not your opinion, whose? I don't want to be voted out of pity, though. My pride is the last damn thing I have left. Not that I had anything to begin with, but still, the only.

If I win I will prepare a Christmas/New Year hamper, filled with objects of the community's choosing, and post it to 22Cans.
I am aware that this will probably cost me more than the price of a copy of Ashes of Singularity but I think it could be fun.

Im guessing faecal samples are out of the question.
We should put a message on it "A difficult year but that you for staying open and transparent throughout and never letting up on the communication."

As I can't divert my attention from the thread, I'll ponder aloud about the idea of false hope (the core of bait and switch strategy), which is intrinsic for gambling and mobile games.
Why is it called "hope"? Hope is a feeling of wanting something desirable and predicting the possibility of getting that desirable thing, be it object, service or even emotion. What makes it false? The fact that this desire never gets sated, as in nothing will be obtained. So, what is the reason false hope works? Well, it's a basic instinct requiring two things: 1. Something desirable must be just outside the subject's grasp. 2. The outcome must be completely impossible to influence by subject's actions.
And as such: 1. The more desirable the aim is, the more important is the stimulus and as such the more attention is directed towards it (like a cat towards you right before you feed it). Therefore, playing without microtransactions should never be fun/jackpots are big sums with low chance of actually happening. And even I'm here writing all this stuff because I can't take my mind off the AoS (despite not even knowing if it could run on my PC or not). 2. And the less the possibility of getting it is, the more agony is here and the more profit is done by desperate attempts. Since the human mind is created for the sake of solving problems (as in, textbook problem, management problem et cetera), when there is no possible solution, mind doesn't work and the strategy of action chosen is controlled by psyche completely, which also means that (1) should be strong enough, or the bait will cease to be attractive and will be avoided instead. Also, for this reason most of the mobile CCG are using Gacha system when the result you're paying for is completely random and is, by nature, softcore gambling.
And so, the subject keeps hoping for something good not because it may be something good, but because the subject wants something good, and wants it strongly enough to ignore all reason.
So the big, red... carrot dangling in front of your nose should be pretty juicy AND be in front of your nose, not mouth. And your hands should be tied for DenA to make the most money out of it, making you shout out your card number.
The moral? No moral. I am an attention whore. A prideful and spiteful attention whore.

Well, subsititute with desirable kind of carrot (or not carrot at all, if you don't like those). Or put carrot in quotation marks, if you prefer.
