OMG, It seems I'd need a video card that costs three times my monthly income. I guess I wouldn't be able to run it even if there was a small chance for me to win that stuff.

For some reason, I am unable to quote right now, it might have to do with some blockers I am running on my laptop so I will just reply.
For real? This is rude of a game maker to do. It almost makes it an elitist game if only people with enough cash for an expensive video card can play it. Can you find a used one on Ebay? How much does it cost?

They themselves state that they have to use strong hardware to get the performance required. Also, Ebay uses dollars, which is the problem in the first place (1 USD is 70.9162 RUB and rising and that makes imports of hardware more expensive). So there's no fault on Stardock's side - they're making the dream. It's completely my fault for having no job and getting >100$ pension. I mean, i'm not even a productive member of society. I just overestimated my own videocard that I thought to be pretty modern. Boy, I was wrong. |

Yeah, its difficult keeping up with "modern gaming" at these prices for what's considered "minimum" requirements. Even as someone that has a fairly modern gen card (GTX 970) and 16GB RAM , those requirements seem a bit ridiculous for that type of game. I had to save up and slowly build my system over the last two years just to be able to run some of the things out this year. Looking at some of the upcoming releases, my system will need another upgrade soon (CPU & MB). Its maddening, very disheartening, and seriously prohibitive for gamers - be it console or desktop - whom just want to play and be entertained. |

For exactly this type of game the requirements are fairly reasonable, since the whole idea of it is making big scale strategical warfare with no compromises. They even say it explicitly on every occasion that you'll need strong machine for it. |
